One thing for sure tackling and coverage cant get worse..There is only room for improvment.

Yes the officials made bad calls yes Vidor was on the short end. But officials cant be blamed for piss poor tackling and letting recievers run open down the field.As bad as it is to say this ones on the defensive players.Coaches cant tackle or cover for you and bad calls do not cause you to miss tackles or leave recievers uncovered.That is why we lost.JMO

Someone better tell our defence this is tackle football..

This question has had to be asked and answered already,but I don't remember seeing it. What are they going to do with the statiums they no longer play at since the new BISD statium was built?

IMO if you don't play gap control defence you could be in for a long night.

Bolinger 2 td's. and the one that got fumbled into endzone I dont know who recovered it. [/quote] Since when was anybody at Vidor worried about "pass blocking?"   ;D and you would think that they both would be looking to scrimmage more popular offenses, since both are already used to it and neither will play to many games against it. [/quote]If we learned anything from this offense last year, Its the pass is usually open when we do throw it because teams are selling out to stop the run. We did not pass block well last year and it cost us. (IMO) Iam not saying we throw 20 a game but if we throw 10 times we need to atleast complete 6 of those.

The fence out at our park is 150 down the lines and 175 in center. You add an 8' tall fence and it takes a pretty good shot to get it out. The wind blows in most of the time in the summer.

Predictions for tonight anyone? I am going with Orange 1 against Groves and TC against Orange 2. Both of theses games could go either way IMO.

Incredible come back by Vidor 2 tonight. Looked like Jefferson County had it in the bag but Vidor never quit.

Congrats to the Vidor River Rats for finishing 3rd in the Governors tourney in Sulpher. A couple close calls the other way and they were in the championship. They also had a great game against the Northeast Beast playing 9 innings of 3 to 3 baseball before scoring 3 in the top of the 9th to win it.Best defensive game I have seen from two 8U teams.

Congrats to the boys for winning the Battle of Beaumont tourney this past weekend.

Thanks for a great season Pirates!!! With what we have coming up I think the program is headed in the right direction..Defense played outstanding in the 2nd half last night.Turnovers and costly penalties were the difference in my opinion.
