??? I'd say 0 points at the half, and 14 in the game could be classified as stopping them pretty well. Much better than the 56 Central gave up to them, at least. BMTSoulja has picked against Lumberton probably 10 games straight now, and outside of Vidor, it hasn't worked out very well for him. Look for that trend to pick back up on Friday. Lamar, I'd agree with you on the stopping part, espcecially considering, one touchdown was basically given to them. Remember the ball fumbles on the 20 Veederville? I just hope our kicker moves over 2 more steps, so we don't have 2 missed field goals again. Hey there oldtimer after we recovered the fumble your defense had the opportunity to stop us from scoring and didn't get it done. Nothing was given.Get over it.

Good point.. The train is lacking that power running game they have had in the past...This hurt them against my Pirates...Just look at there stats in the red zone of our game.JMO

Go ahead and include yourself in that slower team category. ;D I'm using you as an example since you guys were the ones that put up 50+....but yes, we are also in that slower category. I know just messing with you.. We negated there speed with the power running game.If you try and spread them out and run the ball.....Well I just dont see that happening You know, we still could have used our speed stop yall from scoring so many points. We could have brought our LB's up and shot a couple of speedsters in the gaps to stop that power running game of Vidor's. Our coach was content to giving your the 5 yard runs vs taking a chance shooting the gaps and having our players tackle the wrong player and giving up a long run or even paydirt. I think he relied on your players coughing the ball up getting hit once you made it in the secondary. But we can't complain. Our coach went with that game plan and it appeared that it worked. If you guys were giving up 5 yard runs mostly, it is very hard to understand how they put 40+ up in regulation???? Seems they would have chewed the clock up. We hittem with a few 40 and 50 yarders but would get caught on the 10 or 20 and then punch it in. I believe we averaged over 8 yards a carry but would have to go back and look at the stats to be sure.

Good post!!! This offense is extremely hard to stop when ran properly. Like all offenses ..Having a good defense makes it better. Teams have won state championships with it.

Sounds like your offended by my opinion...why would I envy PNG? WB has nothing to do with PNG...I live in Beaumont, I like Central in 20-4A and I root for Ozen when they play too(except when either team plays WB) If we are not playing, I go and watch'em...Central will win the district, followed by Vidor, followed by Lumberton...the fourth spot(I say) will be determined this week....Livingston/PNG...I'd say it's a logical opinion based on the level of competition and performance of the schools....maybe you don't want to see it, but it's there. Just smile and play on. Good post.....Makes sense.

In Vidor being a season ticket holder gets you nothing for away games. First come first serve gets the tickets. I agree Purple lets not turn this into a statium bashing thread..... It is what it is... Iam sure they would love a new statium funding just is not there at this time.

They have that we are better than everyone reputation.Last week we there was a thread that went 10 pages or more dogging the facilties over at Livingston and low and behold we show up in Lumberton and what do we find? A field with no hash marks,scoreboard that wouldn't be allowed on a peewee field and a PA sytem donated from the closed down drive in movie theater.I geuss thats how L-Town got there reputation.
