Looking at the scores in the playoffs, I’m beginning to question “Defense wins Championships”. Or at least, not the defensive teams of decades ago. Still a few fairly dominant defenses, like Carthage, but durn some of these games are putting up some big numbers.

Keep on rolling Bulldogs. For durn sure, beat FBM, then you can worry about the next one. Sounds cliche, but one at a time.

Sad situation that it can’t happen. I suspect 80% (or more) of the time, the higher classification would win. But not in this case. Carthage won the D1 last year, and appear to be even better this year. As WO-S89 said, Carthage wins by, at least 21 points. If they have a weakness, I sure don’t see it, nor have I seen anyone else mention one. They have size, speed, great athletes at the skill positions. They’re a handful. A rare combination of great athletes and great Coaching.

I’m still wondering - when D gets into the equation, what happens then? It’s like reading a mystery book without an ending. 😂🤣😂 C’mon Bulldogs. This old Pirate is pulling for ya.

Probably his lowest total all year. Vidor held him to 129 I think, but a lot of that was a 13 min TD drive by Vidor.
