Football 101

Can't wait for it to get started. Haven't heard anything about the teams as far as predictions or strengths. I don't have any boys in it any more but I can't let it go. 

Evadale should be setting pretty in the playoffs with their pitching staff returning. Senior Daniel Bean RHP should have a good year again and Sophomore Parker Moye LHP getting attention from 3 D1 colleges already and they have a few others that can take up the slack on the mound. Along with Torres behind the plate hope to see a good season for the Rebels! 

I know, you'd think just listing a sophomore that should be a prospect doesn't seem all that hard.  I guess it is more difficult for some than others.

Thought was about listing 2019 prospects?

Yes UA is a money making deal imo,  my son has done it and could have went and played several different places, but of course there's a catch, to pay like $3000 to play! No thanks!

If my memory is correct (at my age you never know) ...... There is a cost to play on the UA teams if selected.     Was something like $4000 .....
just like all the baseball factories...... Pay to attend

Evadale up 6-3 going into the 6th.

Rebels take the lead, going into the 4th, 4-3.

Rebels answer back with 2 runs, off an infield hit and a deep scrifice fly.

What's funny about our little ol' 2A school's is that a few of these kids play on select teams with kids that go to 4 & 5A schools and compete just as well if not better and could go pitch at a big school,  after all they pitch against kids as well ...that go to bigger school's and they pull them up a chair quite often! Lol
I just get so tired of these people from bigger school's downing our kids that go to smaller school's!! They may want to come watch a little 2A school. They may leave a little impressed!!!

Well we have played select ball forever it feels like. If a kid is pitching and playing that much that's all on the PARENT for thinking little Johnny is going to be the next big thing. We have been lucky enough to have coaches that actually cared for their players and want them to go to the next level. Lessons at 8 isn't a bad thing. If your kid enjoys it why wouldn't you want him to learn the fundamentals early. Sure beats trying to fix him later after 5 years of some coach who has no clue what he's doing telling him to get his "elbow up" JS

Spend that money....we got our schedule the other day.  Austin, Dallas, Houston - x2, Lake Point, Ga, Joplin, Mo, Austin and a few others tbd.

That's why we do travel ball as well!

School size doesn't matter as much for baseball, especially for a pitcher imo.
