I wasn't referring to you 247.  I was referring to the Woodville Coach or dad that wants to get some publicity for a student.  I was just quoting you and agreeing with you that I thought this thread was about 2019 prospeats.  Not about the city of Beaumont...

    Ok cool no problem!

  2. Huh?? My last post was not to be taken wrong? But I know what all people think with your comment of "stay in the safety of the woods" I'm not trying to start a argument on here, I just enjoy seeing kids listed from different schools and how there doing, but take it how ya want it!

I can assure we aren't scared over here!

  3. When your kid turns like 15/16 it's not about being on the best team anymore imo! It's being on the team with the right coaches and connections to play in the right tournaments, such as Perfect Game and Premier Tournaments to get your kid seen if they want to play in college! The days of playing for that trophy on the weekends or just about over at that point! Those were the good ol days though! Made lots of good memories!

School size doesn't matter as much for baseball, especially for a pitcher imo.

What's funny about our little ol' 2A school's is that a few of these kids play on select teams with kids that go to 4 & 5A schools and compete just as well if not better and could go pitch at a big school,  after all they pitch against kids as well ...that go to bigger school's and they pull them up a chair quite often! Lol

I just get so tired of these people from bigger school's downing our kids that go to smaller school's!! They may want to come watch a little 2A school. They may leave a little impressed!!!

    Rant over!!!!

  6. From the way I hear it, Joe is probably from Buna anyways. Haha

No but seriously...I'm not sure "Joe" and the other boys at Evadale are quite learning the same level of competition.  If Joe is a decent baseball player he probably doesn't have to make the team at Evadale.  He may have to earn a spot THERE because they have a decent baseball program.  However..Joe will never get any better playing at Evadale once they've established he's on the team because they play against Spurger, Leggett, West Hardin, Hull Daisetta, High Island...and whoever else.  The only taste of competition Joe sees is when they play Big Sandy...the other decent 1A team in the area.  So yeah...

    agree to disagree

OK....here we go again It doesn't matter if smaller school districts don't have all the schools like big schools that are competitve when you have a small kid player who plays in the premier baseball league at showcases put on by Rice, Perfect Game in Georgia and TCU which is where my small school "joe player " will be showcasing this weekend and competing against players from the Dallas/Fort Worth area which are 5A/6A which he has been doing for a while. I promise you he could leave our small school and go play on any 4A or 5A school in baseball he wants , I know this because he gets ask quite to move to a bigger school, but no point when the scouts don't come to the high schools anymore. We are going and Competing on a much higher level against the best of the best! So there again your opinion is yours, but shows you don't have clue when you think all small school players aren't competing against better bigger players. Just because they don't see it in their districts doesn't mean they aren't getting it somewhere else! This is 2015!!!! More opportunities out there!

  7. I can't leave this one alone, I have you to know my son goes to a small school and yes plays everything and is very good at each sport. With that being said about playing no competition and how your child may look like a stud because hes only in a class of 30 is a bunch of crap. No we dont play 4 and 5A schools. But he does when he plays select baseball and in the Premier league he plays in mind you, he starts over your 4 and 5a players and competes against big Houston schools all the time and hes not the only one at our school like this either. WE choose our small school to stay out of the big school issues they have! I always smaller school less problems, and it shows by how many transfers we recieve every year from bigger schools. We know scouts rarely come to high school games , they are at showcase tournaments so thats where we get seen , by D1, D2 and D3 colleges. Also our school is on top of there school finances and where the money goes, you can bet on that! So your the idoit parent that don't know what the heck your talking about! Everyone always assumes smaller schools have no talented athletes , but they are so sadly mistaken!!!!

  8. Way to represent the Evadale Rebels Logan Hare Offensive MVP , I love it because on this website its always about the big schools and their players, Ive always said it doesn't matter what size your school is if you have a player that can hang with the 4A & 5A players. Look out this year for the Rebels because we are gonna have a great season and next season that we should go far in our 2A district! We might be a small school, but we have some talented guys that are young and can compete on a high level.
