I wouldn't wish for any school in the state to go through what Kirbyville has had to go through in the last yr +, both on and off the field. But I can tell you this, if they had....then there would be a lot less disrespect being thrown at us. Like someone said earlier^^, I think a lot of folks are sore from what Kirbyville has done to them on the football field in the past and they're taking this chance to kick us while we're down. I've noticed one very glaring thing though so far....we're getting no disrespect from anyone in Newton. They are going to dismantle us this Friday, but the Newton backers are being very very classy in how they handle it. Thank you. I'll be there cheering my team on no matter what cause....unlike some other teams....we weren't afraid to play the #1 team in the state/nation.

Allen Deshazo.... He was the OC one year and the DC another year under Dubois.
 
I haven't been following the team at all, so I'm in the dark like the rest of you guys. 

I just hope we are better than the 2018 WOS lol

It’s a really gray area... if the school was to punish the player based on an allegation that tuned out to be untrue or unproven, we’d be reading about the player’s family suing the school instead. 
I strongly suspect that the school WOULD have acted if the player was actually charged with a crime. That’s where Silsbee got into a jam a few years back... they were still having a “hands off” approach even after a grand jury felt there was adequate evidence to charge several players. 
 
Im not interested in rehashing the Silsbee incident, just using the event as an illustration. 

Lol...From what I saw from the stands, BC's 1's smashed it down Buna's throats the first series of Offense!!  13 play TD drive I believe with constant positive yards gained each play. They have a big, bruising FB btw. NO penalties or negative plays.  Looked crisp to me and yes we are young but it is a marathon, not a sprint my friend 

It’s a really top-heavy district, attendance-wise. You’ve got Lumberton, Splendora, and Livingston all dropping down for this realignment, and with LCM and having recently dropped down from 5A. Huffman’s enrollment is way up there, too. 
It’s also important to notice that despite all of that size, there isn’t a typical powerhouse in the group. 
Of course I’m expecting my Cardinals to finish at the top of the District, but fans from pretty much any school in the district  can realistically expect the same. It is truly wide-open at this point. 

Man, whoever is naming things in BISD these days needs to think outside the box a little.  
 
In all honesty, I'm pretty sure that regardless of what they end up naming it, we'll all be calling it the Butch until the end of time.

Amen.... Newton hasn’t faced a team like WOS since the last time they played WOS.
 

I think most people know how good of a program Newton has. Especially people in NE and SETX. 
I think Newton will go 2-1 in these 3 games. Beat Silsbee and split with Gilmer/WOS.
Beat all 3 and win the ship going 16-0, and you are getting a rarefied air.
Just not sure they can beat both Gilmer and WOS. That is a tough task for any team to beat both in the same season. If the mighty Carthage played those 3 in pre-district I would probably pick them to be 2-1 also. Just hard to beat 3 good teams with a big enrollment advantage before district. Not saying Newton can’t win all 3, but I would be surprised. Kudos to Newton for putting a tough schedule together to challenge a team who won’t be challenged much by 3a teams this years.

LOL, I'm just glad to be talking football again, yes Newton has their hands full with the Stangs,Gilmer & Silsbee will be a great game.
