I could be wrong, but I believe the area rankings have stopped since the playoffs began, so therefore all teams are on equal footage as the rounds play themselves out locally. However, Maxipreps has its ranking continuously throughout the regular season and beyond. Here is their latest on WOS and LaMarque. WOS is higher!

I am sooooooooo glad someone started this thread. People keep talking about our passing game is different, our run game is different, this is different or that is different. The main difference are these young men mentioned above. We have a special group of lineman this year. They have stuck with it and worked hard when many lineman can't make it. These guys have persevered and I can't put into words how proud I am of these guys. They are the core, the hub that makes the wheel turn and they are special!

I doubt very seriously that LM is able to get in the heads of WOS players! This isn't the first time, and wont be the last time! When a team cant compete on the field they look for other ways to get the advantage! fans too!  WOS players are well coached and well disciplined when it comes to this type of atmosphere!!!! STANGS ROLL!

Unfortunately these boys just don't get the credit they deserve. No way Mustangs are where we are without them. It all starts with those guys. Thanks for putting in the hard work and doing the job you do. I see our QB, RB's and WR's showing them love and appreciation on the field but it's past time we as fans do the same. Thanks for all the protection and opening the holes guys.

The rain is pouring down here in Houston, especially in Humble right now. Things should get better as the rain moves out this evening. However, I'm not sure how soon the rains will end. Tonight everyone should know that no umbrella's are allowed, and the seating will be wet, and hard aluminum, so bring something to sit on. One point to note is that the scouts who witnessed the Scarborough game did not get too many x’s and o’s to use against the Varsity team, because , the JV was just awesome. I would bet that some of the (JV Players) will see more playing time on Friday night. Congrats to Coach “T” a for excellent game management plan that addressed a sticky situation that could have been even worse. Good job coach.

You gave a nice definition of cocky in your second paragraph. Just replace "wos peeps" with "me and many LaMarque fans" and maybe Webster will include your example in their 2015 printing of the American Dictionary. 

WoS shouldnt have to worry about lamarque...besides lamarque players trash talking . If WoS meet up with Lamarque....this Longhorn will attend to see massacre WoS will deliver

I wouldnt exactly consider sweeny competition... no disrespect. We just have to avoid shoot our own selves in the foot to win that game.

I'm sure he is and I hear the passion in his words. I get what MoFo is saying and sometimes it comes off harsh, that is fine too. He cares and so do I.

Part of the problem in some areas that doesn't even exist in SETX really is the stadiums and arenas aren't on campus. I vividly remember in the 80s going to WB playing Central at Lamar and that game outdrew the LU game the next day. This year living in Baytown which has one stadium and it's not a highly populated area, but I know for instance this year Nederland had a much bigger crowd on their side vs Lee and Lee was the home team. And also remember though some games are on Thursday which is still a school night so many up even if they have the means to attend may not be allowed to because of school the following day. I think on campus stadiums would do a lot more for campus morale and student support than the college type facilities of some places. But it's all about $, I don't know if Scar plays on an on campus or not but I bet no.
