  1. Of course execution from the team.. and 12% luck for a 112% right.Houston Scarborough is a team that I am very familiar with off Antione and 290 here in H-Town. They would like to have any coach from the Golden Triangle come there to bring experience and winning to their school program. The school in Houston- Galveston area that has been problems for WOS in the past besides Lamarque is C.E.King, they have stopped us many times from advancing during the playoffs.

I like your post. I really do not know much about this HJ team, I do believe that their whole season is based on beating WOS though. I agree with the point you made that coach T will make adjustments, and the guys will be up for the challenge. Let's not forget the game with PNG, and Jasper, everybody brings their "A" game when they play WOS. If coach moves up some of the JV offense running back in certain plays, they are hungry enough to run over HJ in some spots. I would like to see coach keep fresh legs on certain plays. Maybe HJ  have some new recruits on their team from last year, that will bring all the speed you discussed in your post. ;)

  3. I believe that Newton benefited from a tired, and mentally drained West -Orange Stark football team after the Foster loss. I don't believe their defense or offense is any better than WOS. Timing sometimes work for the next opponent in some case when the better team has not re-grouped from a hard fault lost. If the Stangs had won the Foster game, Newton would have not beat them. Just my thoughts about mental toughness, and regrouping after a loss.

  4. Hum, from what  I remember the safety kept lining up offside until they (the refs) finally threw a flag in the Foster game. The Mustangs could have won that game and the Newton game too. Those two hard loses will help the Stangs win this game. I'm not sure but HJ fans have you guys played any team such as the teams the Stangs lost to? I'm just asking?

  5. Thanks Goblin

I enjoyed reading your post, and I believe you are correct when you said"the last two teams that knocked us out of the playoffs won the sate championship". Navasota, and Coldspring. Navasota's game lasted for a long time in my eyes. Before I could sit in my seat, I can only remembers' # 4 , 9 and 15, and they were having their way running the ball. How does the UIL distribute the crowns are there 2 or 4 championships give out? in our region.

  6. SFA I gotta say, that made me chuckle. But, why are teams running to the right? Is it weaker on that side? I always thought that the chain gang mentality was to prevent any kind of weaknesses like that. Usually there's one guy that can slow the ball carrier down and allow the other guys to get to him.

Hey Man, the chain gang defense still has power, however, I have to say what I have seen from the games that I have attended this season. I also, think that I would rather see them build a stronger defense as we go along, than to discover their weakness during the playoffs.  Eating crow is terrible!

  7. Okay I didn't not answer your question, about WOS defense, it's suffering this year, a bit. I have noticed the the other teams are running more to the right side of the defense more often. Thanks' for reading my post, I did make those statements early this season. Dallas is a young kid who is learning, he has the support of his team mates, and is getting better each game. What ever my opinion is about position assignments, is not my job it is coach T's leadership to make placements. I hope I have answered your question to a level of effectiveness.

  8. SFA

I'm not sure who you talked to, nor who the "you guys" is referring to, but it's obvious by your posts that you have zero clue as to who I am nor what I do.

You have no idea who I am and what I do. Let me explain, smack talking is what this site is all about, opinions, and sometimes people will write the facts to back up their claims. If you are referring to yourself as a professional, i.e. educational wise, GUESS WHAT..  I have many accomplishments, this sites allows me to let my hair down and, soot the bull, sir. Some of my family members have played and are playing on the WOS football team, whom I do support. The balance to having fun back and forth, talking smack;  without diluting the culture of this site is a thin line.

  9. @ SFA This is so sad it's almost comical. If you want to form well thought out responses to what I have to say, then fine, I'll be more than happy to go back and forth with you. But this nonsense is a waste of time. I can stand the heat alright, I just choose not to stoop to such an elementary level. I can feel my IQ start to lower every time I read a post like this

To you sir you have made it elementary, and frankly sir......"I don't give a %^&. I don't usually talk to socially deprived people, such as Eric Erikson's Trust vs Mistrust, your level. I am done dealing with you. I did not attack anyone's personal character, however if you come at me  expect to get a respond back.
