  1. I was impressed with Kirbyville last week. Kirbyville will roll pretty hard against Elkhart. Good luck Cats. I guess all the smack talking has come to an end between us unless we meet in the playoffs. WildcatBacker, Ryker144, kcat-fan and the rest of the people that keep the district games interesting, I just wanted to say Thanks and we will resume it again next time we play. Until then give them heck and let them know what District 12 is all about. LOL As Robin Williams would say: Gooood Mooorning Playoffs.

Thank you sir, and thank you for your part in making this a memorable season for all of us too, including me. The smack talking was awesome, the respect and recognition given when deserved was awesome, and the games were awesome. We all had our bragging rights moments and we all had our share of crow. Lol.. Let's move on to the playoffs and support each other every step of the way until we meet again and have to be mortal enemies again for 3 hrs.  :D Till then, let's put District 12 on the maps as the most feared district in all of Texas football.  :)

  2. My two cents on this game.. ~~ Somebody (an EC fan) said earlier that they are tired of seeing/hearing the 'excuse' that certain teams were better "....on this given night". Well I got news for you hoss, that is about the ONLY thing that makes sense in high school football, most notably this district, this year. This has been an amazing season by 3 amazing teams that all wanted it bad. Someone (a Kirbyville fan) said something too about how Kirbyville wouldn't have tried this or that had the point spread not been an issue or whatever. Well, EC PUT US IN A POSITION FOR THAT POINT SPREAD TO BE AN ISSUE. So you can't take that out of the equation. This was an incredible game played by 2 very incredible teams that left it all out there on the field. Kirbyville had to accomplish two things.....1)win (to take 2nd) or 2)win by 11 (to take 1st) They got one of the two, but didn't get them both. So we'll enjoy the heck out of our 2nd place seed and congratulate EC on their 1st. They were BOTH well deserved. Now, let's go show the rest of 3A Div I why they shouldn't be taking the field against the teams from this district. Good luck, kick *bleep*, and take names!  :D  :P  :D

  3. He hasn't had this problem before

Actually yes I have. (Thank you Jess. I knew you'd have my back) I've been on my days off and very busy with many things, mostly hunting. Lol.. But this site is pure entertainment for me so my life doesn't revolve around it. I go for days sometimes without checking it even with internet access right in front of me. ~~ Now, to the game at hand....I pick Kirbyville by 11+. Jess it is uncanny that you know how I think.  ;)  :P

  4. Just a little information about District 12-3A D1. Just for you WildcatBacker. LOL

It's hard to believe that the season is half way over for EC. It went by fast.

I am actually going to feel kinda bad when we ruin EC's perfect season. We've had it happen with us before on the last game of the season and it sucks. :P Oh and Lol.. I like what you did there on the second post. Your season is 'halfway over'?......at 8 games?? You're anticipation of playing 16 did not slip my radar. Good luck with that.  :D

  5. Well you haven't been correct yet so I'm ok with it. LOL Everybody take cover because this is probably going to be a bomb shell response. Take COVER. LOL This ought to spice this thread up. LOL

Lol.. Go back and look. I've been INCORRECT only once. That was when I picked the Cats to beat Buna. I am rarely wrong twice in a decade.  :P

  6. I know, I know. I usually can't stand it when someone starts a thread of a game that's not here yet either. Lol.. But by all accounts, it looks like both teams will have fairly easy games this week so might as well get this going now. ~ Kirbyville will have their hands full and can not afford to let their guard down at all. We have what it takes to win this game, but so does EC. It's gonna come down to who wants it more I think.

    Kirbyville - 42

    EC          - 31

(Notice the score difference? Lol.. Kirbyville has to win by 11 or more to claim the #1 spot)  :P

  7. I wasn't using it as a measuring stick. Just saying if you use one score you need to look at them all. They put more points against Warren than Kountze did. And have held the top teams in this district to some of there lowest scores.

It was funny because blowing out Warren was the only reason you gave for not over-looking Anahuac. I agree that they have held the top teams to fairly low scores though. And since this year has proven several times that anything can happen on any given night then it's true, Anahuac can't be over-looked any more than ANY team can. But I don't see them taking the #4 spot from Kountze. I stick to my original prediction of 1)Kirbyville 2)EC 3)Buna and 4)Kountze. It took some help from EC for Kirbyville to be back in a position of possibly claiming the #1 spot, but still. We'll take it. Lol..

  8. Anahuac blew out warren. They can't be overlooked!

This is funny right here. Lmao. Warren has lost their 7 games by an average of 26 pts per game (that's a 4 scores per game difference). Their only win was against a pitiful Huntington team, and it was only by 6 pts. 'Blowing out' Warren is not a good measuring stick there hoss. Lmao

  9. I knew this was going to be a passionate response from WildcatBacker. The first drive Buna drove the ball from around their own 25 yard line to around the Kirbyville 35 or 40 yard line. They had several 5 to 10 yard carries. I still don't understand the pass interference call that they pick up the flag. I was at the fence and it was obvious that the defender was early but the flag was picked up. You make it sound like Buna had negative yardage but Buna did move the ball with the run. They ran a double reverse and passed deep. You call it a hail mary but it was a good play for a touchdown. The other touchdown right before half was a cross pattern not a hail mary for another touchdown. Thats what I saw. Maybe I'm wrong but I did not see Kirbyville just dominate on defense and stop the run. Yes I saw them make some good plays on defense but I also saw Buna move the ball with the run. They did not dominate with the run but they did move the ball. I would like to see the stats for Buna run for the first half. We are obviously are not going to see eye to eye on this but that is what I saw. Dang I hate these long responses. LOL I just think WildcatBacker might be exaggerating a little. LOL :D

What I'm going by mostly is that Buna never got close to scoring when using the run during that first half. I can't remember if they scored off of any runs in the second half but if they did, they were no doubt set up with good pass plays. You will never hear any excuses from me if we get beat, and we got beat. But I do like to do what everyone else does and try to find the positives that were there and we had plenty of them. One of which was containing Buna for 20+ of the 24 mins in the first half. That's why I feel confident against EC in 2 weeks. Our coaches will be watching film and finding a way to stop whatever it is that EC brings to the table. But if y'all can adjust too in the event we do stop it, then you can pull a Buna and take the win too. Otherwise, straight up game plan against game plan, I just don't see EC winning. I am in no way saying it's a done deal, just my own gut feeling. Lol.. Good luck. I will be there.

  10. ??? Buna was not getting stuffed. They drove the ball 5 to 10 yards a carry on some plays. ??? Yes they started throwing the ball but that is just smart football. They throw the ball and Kirbyville did not defend it. ??? It was no hail marys buy no means ???. It's called offense and you have to defend it. LOL Don't try to make excuses. Buna beat Kirby hands down is the game I was at.

You think Cats are gonna beat everybody. They are gonna take over the World. LOL You are passionate and a little bias !!!!

Oh my dear heavenly days....I could not believe this when I first read it. You were AT the Buna/K-ville game and you honestly believe this?? Dude, please for the love of all that is holy go find the game film somewhere because obviously your memory is horrible. Buna was NOT getting 5 to 10 yds on some plays. They got 2 first downs on their 1st possession and then that was IT until the passes started just before half and into the second half. Now, Buna was stuffing Kirbyville when the game first started too, but Kirbyville came out passing for whatever stupid reason and Buna completely shut it down. But omg.....you can't be serious if you think Kirbyville didn't also shut Buna down completely. Once Kirbyville stopped trying to pass (much to the delight of every Kirbyville fan) they ran it down Buna's throat and scored.....then scored again.....all the while, holding Buna in check completely. They were up 14-0 just before half and Buna had no answer. So with a min or two to go before half, they throw this reverse trick hail mary pass something or other and score. Then after Kirbyville fumbled, they did it again with almost the exact same play with 19 seconds left till half to tie the score. Well something must have clicked for Buna because they came out and stayed with the passes. Some were long hail marys, some were screens and some were basic pass plays. But it was their pass that Kirbyville didn't adjust for. Before they started that, Kirbyville was stuffing them on almost every play. I give all the credit to Buna for making the adjustments they did and Buna did win the game deservingly. But it was not 'hands down' as you put it in favor of Buna. It was back and forth and touch and go the whole game AFTER Buna started passing. Before then, when they tried their game plan, Kirbyville dominated. Hats off to Buna coaches and players for not trying to stay with something that wasn't working though.

  11. lol is correct. If buna put 49 points on kv then the Kats are in trouble. I still have some crow left and will be sure to save it for you.

Buna was getting stuffed. They had to do something so they started some hail marys and screens and trick pass plays that Kirbyville was completely unprepared for. EC should start working on a back up contigency plan too cause whatever their game plan is, Kirbyville will be ready for it.
  12. If Kountze beats Buna then the reality of 3 way tie for second becomes ALIVE. LOL

Ok first of all͵ Kountze will not beat Buna. Second....IF they did and IF EC beats Kirbyville to force a 3 way tie for second͵ then Kirbyville will go as the second place team no matter what the Kountze/Buna score ends up being. ~~ Kirbyville holds a +14 advantage right now. The best Buna could end up with is a +6 (if they only lose by 1 to Kountze) and the best Kountze could do is break even if they beat Buna by 21+ because Kirbyville beat them by more than 21. (For those that don't know, the UIL only recognizes up to a 21 pt difference when deciding tie breakers) So basically, if Kirbyville beats Warren this Fri then the worst they'll end up is #2 and could possibly go #1 with an 11+ pt win over EC.

If I did my math right, then these games total a +50 or so in favor of WO-S. Of course that means absolutely nothing. Lol..
