I am with you there. I don't know how many times we had a series where brown or gray were chewing up yards and we pass on 1d and get in a hole. Daje needs the ball a lot too and hopefully he will. I am hoping it was just a 1st game back thing. He needs to be returning kicks too.

I hoped Wickline would be calling the plays and still do. Charlie obviously is a defensive guru. But he's going to have to find someone who matches him on the other side of the ball. With a blank check, there is no excuse not to.

Texas also is likely to have another option with Zack Gentry in 2015.
 
Hopefully he can do what the current QB Corps at Texas is having problems with and that is win.  They also appear to have some potential help coming on the O Line as well.  2015 may be a better year for Texas - and it better be or Texas Ex's may start to growl  :huh:

Heard this Saturday. He will almost certainly get it. He will return, Jonathan gray will return for senior season, and DT Malcolm brown will almost certainly enter draft.

Yes the OM defense is better than A&M's but the offenses are not comparable in the least.
 
A&M is averaging 586 yards per game while OM is averaging 462. A&M has no problem moving the ball against anyone. Their problem is no one has a problem moving it against their defense.

You PNG guys kill me, who said anything about looking ahead to next week, I just stated the obvious, you guys stay quiet for four years then you think you have something and all of a sudden you want to bet.......I'll take Sage with one leg against you guys all day long, and you won't hear me say a thing about being banged up. Wait... Ned has only played "horrible teams in district" so far. The teams that Central has played are a combined 0-4, ours are 2-2.

I'd say that Central is definitely the team to beat in district this season and we enter as the underdog this week, no doubt about it. I think we will have an uphill battle even if we were 100% healthy. Hoping that the guys that got hurt last night can play this week and be effective. Central is a really good team.

Hope for an injury free and hard fought ball game. This game will be tougher for both than the first 2 district games were. Nederland is steadily improving, but we will have to play our best game of the season to win this one.

phunter308, we have some weaknesses on D sometimes, but I doubt that Nederland will be able to exploit it.

If Nederland hopes to win, they better be ready for a high scoring affair. When our playbook is open, no team this year have stopped us from moving the ball and scoring. I know Nederland have been scoring a lot of points, but vs horrible teams.

Our defense has gotten better each week since week 1 when we let West Brook score 40 on us. We hit hard, we have size up front who seem to be getting better penetration.

I haven't seen Big Ned play this year, but I've done ny research. That along with the Dogs being a little banged up, here is my prediction...

Nederland - 21

Central - 38

lsu sucking is the only thing keeping Texas from floating off in the Gulf of Mexico.

Totally wrong. Most Texas fans on here have admitted we suck. We just don't try and hide behind a conference. But of course I don't expect you to try and stand on your own merits, you have to make some type of comparison to ease the pain of SUCking. LSU's sucking is second to none!

sec.....they are great because of their conference and they are bad because of their conference. Its a win/win situation and the stupidest way to view their success/failure that I have ever seen. The only reason behind such a mentality is to insulate oneself from crow dinners.

It's like racing your truck against a truck pulling a trailer. If he wins, he did it pulling a trailer. If he loses, it's because of the trailer......win/win!

Texas had a TD called back for a lame holding call, then had it at the goal line and had a fumble recovery called in Baylor's favor. Things like this can take the wind out of anyone's sails. I know, crying about the refs, but everyone knows what I am talking about.

I proclaimed long ago that each atate's "second fiddle" school should be called Aggie for the sake of solidarity. Apparent Utah state, New Mexico State and A&M were the only ones who got the memo...

I was literally rooting for the Aggies last week (and outside of OldTimer, I don't think many of you Ags have done that for UT). But I am old enough to remember the Arkansas rivalry (and have has my car keyed in that state twice). Never root for Arkansas or Oklahoma against any Texas team. Just can't. I did root for OU for the first time in a long time last year against Bama. I don't think it was a conference thing as much as the Bama fans roaring in cheers when Colt got hurt in the NC game. Still haven't forgiven them for that. I can promise you that Aggie fans would never have done that.
