As a UT fan, I am disappointed that they haven't been as good as I thought they were going to be and as good as they should have been in the past few years. If anything in college football is true, it is that college football is a very cyclical sport. UT will bounce back(who knows when, maybe next year, maybe in 3+ years). To blame Mack Brown or Charlie Strong is crazy to me, Mack gave us as UT fans 16 great years of running a great program and winning a lot of football games. Charlie Strong will do well based on what he did as a DC plus what he did at Louisville. Louisville is a good team this year and the team was built by Strong. I remember the days when Mackovic was pacing the sidelines on the forty acres and those were tough times. They just have to weather the storm and trust in who they hired to do the job. To say the Big XII is a trash conference is crazy personally, but to each their own. I partially understand the high and mighty aTm attitude because they have put a good football team together, but if any school should know how to weather tough times and trust that the decision makers will put together the right pieces to succeed, I would think aTm would be high up on that list. Enjoy while it lasts but remember, nothing lasts forever.

After watching quite a few games today, I do not see a reason to say the SEC teams are defensively superb to any other conference. I understand it is week 1 and there are a lot of new faces out there, but the SEC looks like it is becoming an offense driven conference. With that being said, there are going to be a lot of fun games to watch in the SEC and in all of college football this year.

I am curious about the all state QB that HD has... I don't remember seeing a QB from HD on the all state team from last season but I haven't seen the preseason all state list for this year so I'm guessing that is where he is listed

I was impressed with Dwight this year despite his past dramatic antics, I do not think getting Melo would be a good move, I would much rather the Rockets get Rondo or Kyrie...JMO

Not sure if it will happen, but expect Morey to make a push and expect Howard, Hardin, and Olajuwon to be showing him around town if he makes a visit.

Hope the 'Horns return to their home away from home in Omaha... Mark Payton deserves a trip in his Sr. year, he has been a great UT baseball player to watch

In my opinion it shows that the kid wants to be here and apart of turning some thing around along with turning himself around.

I don't think they were really worried about Singleton. They were more upset at what his contract might do for other rookie contracts down the road.
 
The market determines the player salaries. His contract helped owner's and GM's set "market" prices.

Bud Norris just flat out doesn't like Houston's front office...he has taken several shots at them since even before he was traded...glad we got rid of him and got a LHP in Josh Hader as part of the return that could be twice the starter Norris is
