Ozen's first play of the game should be a long bomb. Even if it is incomplete, it makes the defense adjust right from the get-go moving people out of the box. This can open up the run game. If they still stack the box, throw over the top. Green is very capable of doing this. Just the way I play football and probably why I am not a coach.  ;D On defense, limit the mistakes and don't overpursue. Make things happen and try to create turnovers.

The only thing wrong with the passing game is it is predictable. GCM did their homework in the film room. Get the running game going and mix in some play action. The flanker screen works if blocked well, but if the play is jumped, it's a pick six. Had a receiver open on a long pass that was interfered with but not called. We can get open, but the running game was moving the ball, so don't get cute with the play calling. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Ozen, if you are going to win state, which is the dream of all teams, sooner or later you are going to have to play a team like Brenham. You have to make your stand and take it up a notch. Play mistake free ball. Brenham is very tough. This is the game you played all year to be in. Good luck.

I like all kinds of music. That repetitive stuff gets under my skin. I said play country because I figure it is more readily accepted by most people. It was a relief when the announcer came on. That's the kind of music they play for the celebrity types in their private clubs and we all know they have no taste.  ;D

Thanks for hosting our 20-4A playoff game this week. I have a small favor to ask. Could you change your pre-game [b]music[/b] (I use the term loosely) venue to country? I know absolutely no one who likes that "Techno" stuff. I wore ear plugs last night after learning the hard way the previous night at the Vidor game. Thank you from a fan who buys tickets and concessions.

At times, GCM was the best player on our team. Just when you think they stopped us, they would get a numbskull penalty. What was really sad was they were good calls. GCM.....a totally undisciplined team. None of the coaches got in their face for any of the personal fouls......unbelievable. Go Dogs!!!

For fear of a thread being created for me, I don't talk smack. It is better to simply back your team and be positive without going off the deep end. BH has a fine team, but I warned BH fan that Ozen had the best offense we had played. He did not want to believe me. Great season BH. You should still be proud going undefeated in 19-4A.
