Bittersweet here. We are closing the book on some amazing athletes. 3 SC football games, we win two. 1 SC baseball game and fell short. Tonight we played probably the SC in baseball this year and lost. Nothing to hang your heads down about guys! In your 4 years of playing HS ball, in all sports, you are the best class that had ever come out of our mighty school. It is very sad that you all have to graduate but please remeber one thing.......you have all ignited a small town in little ole SETX a positive way, one day you will realize what you have done for us former Mustangs and the city or Orange in general. With that said JD3, Cheese(even though your a junior) Rags, KJ, Mandel, Keion, the list goes on and on......you have brought the pride back to WOS nation and we will never forget. With that said, NEXT MAN UP!!!!!

Dont know much about Robinson other than chatter about "studs", "legit", "real deal" sooooooooo no predictions but i can dang well assure you that Robinson is just as worried about WOS as WOS is about them. Give me JD in a one game win or go home any day of the week. This is gonna be a dog fight, toss up in my opinion.

Silsbee keeps it rolling IMO

I was told Lamar did not want to host three straight days. Did not have enough workers to cover all three days. It is why BC/Silsbee are not playing Friday night. Was told Lamar is hosting some softball gig on Friday night.

Makes alot of sense actually. I think everyone agrees that WOS is the better team, the better team almost always wins in a series. Go for one game and you never know what could happen.

It's the strategy that got LCM further than anybody else last year. 

Not many highlights for the Longhorns.  We had 2 first downs I believe.  A couple nice kickoff returns; we had quite a few attempts.  A couple good defensive stands. 
WO-S speed was over-whelming to say the least.  Mix that in with some good hard running and it was a long night on defense for the Horns.
I was most impressed with the class that was exhibited by both teams.  WO-S did very, very little showboating.  They played with a lot of class and respect for their over-matched opponent.  
My Horns gave it what they had and played with good attitudes and sportsmanship.  Wasn't a whole lot of helping each other off the turf, but there wasn't any nasty stuff that you might see sometimes in a lopsided affair.
Our players will look back on this as a learning experience and set their sights on getting better.  This was a rebuilding year for us and it showed.  We lose a few really good seniors, but have a lot of underclassmen who gained valuable experience tonight.
About the only weakness I saw with WO-S is a tendency to over-pursue the ball which leaves the counter and reverse open, but with so much speed what would be a TD or a huge gain against most teams is 8-10 yards against you guys.  That and the inconsistency on the extra points.  Dallas kid can sure boot that ball on kickoffs, why is he not the normal place kicker?
Best of luck to WO-S.  Hope you bring home another trophy to SE Texas.

Have got to get the defense fixed. Hard when your offense is as fast paced as ours but giving up 50 points a game wont win you many

My Longhorn buddies just need to sit back and relax, we are talking about Aggie here....they will find a way to mess it up, always have always will.

Please, all I have been hearing for most of the summer (from both sides) is about the WO-S/Silsbee match up.  Now that it is here, folks want to talk about every other team in the state.
Focus, guys. Focus.

I have never liked comparing smaller 4a schools to MUCH larger 5a and almost the ranks of 6a schools. But the 11 starters WOS puts on the field VS the 11 starters a team like Crosby or West Brook put on the field is very close in talent. 14.2 is throwing out all of these rankings and measurables for these recruits but as WOS has showed year after year they have some of THE BEST undersized talent in the state. You wont see many over 6' or over 200lbs but them boys know how to play football and they prove that at the next level. You cant argue what WOS players do on the college ranks year after year, we produce talent in this little ole town of Orange, the proof is in the pudding.

Not to stir the pot, oh heck, who am I lying too.... Yes, to stir the pot... The reason no WOS player would ever step on the field for a Crosby team is simple.... WOS is always a contender... And those kids would never want to be pretenders....

you can put all different type of college players in college all you want , but which ones are actually producing for their team in college. you can NOT name one player from west orange that is in college and not producing for their team. difference between WOS and a lot of other schools. no matter where they go, our players will be a BIG part of their team.

Is everybody just going to overlook the statement/fact that Dallas was the ONLY returning starter on offense????? If that doesn't SCREAM Most VALUABLE player then I don't know what does.
