Dont know much about Robinson other than chatter about "studs", "legit", "real deal" sooooooooo no predictions but i can dang well assure you that Robinson is just as worried about WOS as WOS is about them. Give me JD in a one game win or go home any day of the week. This is gonna be a dog fight, toss up in my opinion. 

I dont live in "Smoketown" and I think Silsbee sweeps.

Wouldnt mind getting to watch some free baseball Saturday afternoon though

That may be correct. I was told it was for other reasons but nonetheless looks like Lamar is out of the question. Hopefully PNG will be settled on unless another game is already scheduled.

Makes alot of sense actually. I think everyone agrees that WOS is the better team, the better team almost always wins in a series. Go for one game and you never know what could happen.

Is a forward punt the same as a forward pass? Trying to process the play but I would think the ball should be dead where the ball was touched first, wherever the up back was hit.

I would bet 99% of the comments on here stating unworldly expectations of the Mustangs aren't even believed by the people pressing send.

Not sure what it is between the schools but the kids genuinely do not like each other, always a tough fought game.

Interested to see how we cover, may be our weakest point as a team ( and still pretty dang good )

I just wasted 45 minutes of valuable sunlight reading 20+ pages of nonsense on Smoaky....

I have never liked comparing smaller 4a schools to MUCH larger 5a and almost the ranks of 6a schools. But the 11 starters WOS puts on the field VS the 11 starters a team like Crosby or West Brook put on the field is very close in talent. 14.2 is throwing out all of these rankings and measurables for these recruits but as WOS has showed year after year they have some of THE BEST undersized talent in the state. You wont see many over 6' or over 200lbs but them boys know how to play football and they prove that at the next level. You cant argue what WOS players do on the college ranks year after year, we produce talent in this little ole town of Orange, the proof is in the pudding.

Is everybody just going to overlook the statement/fact that Dallas was the ONLY returning starter on offense????? If that doesn't SCREAM Most VALUABLE player then I don't know what does.

Just for the record I would have had zero issues with DT winning this award, and frankly if you look JUST at numbers he should have won, but for those of you saying its a disgrace for JD to win you all need to get off your high horse.

Back to football talk, will WOS mixture of speed/physicality win over Celina's size/physicality? Keys to the game IMO....

1) Contain Celinas QB from running for big yards (something we struggled with last week)

2) O-Line has to give Dallas that extra millisecond to find our playmakers

3) We haven't had to play a full 4 quarters in about 2 months...will this factor in Tomorrow??

4) Its the SC game, no chance in you know what it will be a blowout, therefor...STANGS HAVE TO MAKE EXTRA POINTS

Lamarque, Giddings, LaGrange (We beat the teams that beat them) Beat Jasper and Silsbee in regular season. Those teams aren't good enough? WOS deserves everything they have gotten, nothing has been "gifted" to them.

The key is giving Dallas time in the pocket. If this happens I see the Stangs coming out victorious, if not it might be a long day. Screens will play a big part in keeping the secondary honest just like we have done all year, Screen, screen, screen, double move and hit for a big play down field.

Celina looks big and physical. One thing I saw on the film from the Gilmer game was #5 was running the ball hard against Celinas defense. Not saying we have an oline that can move that dline from Celina but Shaw is a very physical runner, might be something to look for come Friday. With all the talk about WOS speed on the outside, I look for Celina to only put 6 in the box, might come down to how affective the WOS running game is (which struggled against Cuero).

WOS and LCM were DQ Big Game of week back in 08' I believe.

Looks like Im in the minority after looking at this thread, but Im staying far far away from a blowout in this one.

Its WOS/Newton....its gonna be a down right brawl. History and DQ Big Game of the Week points towards a nail biter.

The Giddings matchup a few years back was fun to watch.
