I suggest everyone that is planning on attending book their hotel rooms KNOW. The price for the rooms will steady increase.

Looking forward to seeing if Trevon Duval, Terrance Ferguson and Billy Preston can play as a unit. All 3 are highly ranked in ESPN 60. API will be playing in the Texas Christian Athletic League WOW

Wasn't Wheatley almost all seniors or was that Sterling?
Sterling
-
Took Silsbee to the limit in regional quarters.
What about Wheatley at #10? Didn't they struggle last year?
If I am not mistaken Wheatley Leading Scorer was out with a season ending injury during the regular season. He should be available this season.

Jim Hicks opinion of the Pre-Season Rankings:
5A
Beaumont Ozen is listed at #2 in the state (over #3 Beaumont Central) is definitely an eye opener. Actually this is dead wrong and even Beaumont fans know it. Ozen has been getting their heads handed to them during various Fall Ball events. The #2 5A team in the state don't lose Fall Spring or Summer ball vs the likes of Beaumont Kelly. Sure, Ozen's top prospect is still on the football field, but if this young man can indeed lead the Panthers back to state, then he should be selected "Mr. Basketball" or the Most Valuable Player in all of 5A.Elkins is listed at #14 (behind #11 Marshall who lost their best player Christian Barrett via transfer to Westbury Christian).
The fact that Bush was not listed among the Top 25 teams in the state is almost as equal of an error as placing Ozen at #2. This Bush team is flat out loaded (they feature the best sophmore backcourt in the state, hands down) and TABC just supplied this team with all the motivation they needed to enter this season with one helluva chip on their shoulder. -
Any of those schools specializing in communications?
I don't believe so

Houston Lamar is 6A
Conference 6A
District 20
Bellaire, Chavez, Lamar, Math. Sci & Tech (Sam Houston), Milby, Reagan, Westbury, Westside
-
Is Sam Houston in the same classification as Ozen and Central?
No, Sam Houston is 6A, small but very quick team.

If your program is not recruiting, good luck with winning the state title

Jim Hicks (RCS Sports) throws a Very Nice Tournament, can't wait for it to begin.
Does anyone know if Central will bring their Big Man for The Mother Land to the tournament???

Can't wait for Coach Wise to release his schedule, will be curious to see if API will make a trip down I-45 to play in the Lions Den as a "Fundraiser".

Ray Forsett former head coach at Prime Prep as found a new home at Advanced Prep International (API) in the Dallas Area. Is API The New Prime Prep??? Coach Forsett has recruited 3 Top 10 Players in the country, something no other school in the country can claim. API practices at the Mark Cuban Center, Cuban has ties with Bridgeport High School can't wait to see that match up between the two schools. I can hear everyone grabbing their I-Phones and complaining to the UIL about unfair playing field and that API and Bridgeport is nothing more then a basketball factory. Don't worry "For Now" API has joined the Texas Christian Athletic League (TCAL).
I can't wait to see what coach will set aside their jealousy and hatred for Coach Forsett and play this particular school. Yes I understand the UIL has a limit on how many non-district games a school can play per season, but this would be a Great measuring tool on how good your team really is!!!
