You are correct sir. Crosby was the better team and my hats off to them on a great game. I knew it would take a great game by us to win and y'all had a lot to do with why we didn't. PLC vs teams with speed, not good outcome for them. Crosby doing what Brenham did last year. Once they get down almost impossible to catch up because they won't/can't throw.

That dang team from Brenham last year on the diamond could hit 1-9, I'll get on the baseball thread soon, but how many of those kids came back this year. I'd like to see a Elgin Crosby rematch from last year with this new found D, but Crosby Brenham would be good also. First up is PLC though with a tough running attack.

We only lost 1 full time starter, our #4 hitter. All the pitching is back.

Wouldn't you concede it is the same tactic you complain about from FB06. Just calling a spade a spade. Crosby is taking Calhoun seriously, they did expect Calhoun to win against FBM and I do have confidence in our boys to play great ball on Saturday. Cocky? Maybe but you can take that to the bank.

I will concede that as long as it was talking football it was fine and perfectly ok, when the wife and kids get mentioned in any regards it goes in a different direction that it shouldn't. That is why if you want to talk crap about a team, matchups, compare history, hell talk about my testicles(ha ha), I don't care. When any reference to wife or kids comes into play, that is when the conversation takes a turn for the worst unfortunately. Seen it happen several times on here and they are the worst.

Caleb Hill-Sr-QB, does not play for LRA. He is the starting QB for the Brenham Cubs.  

Just for consistency of facts. Run ruled first game, 2nd game came down to last inning where Brenham had to score or extra innings. Brenham fans at that game were great and a little shocked. Think it was expected that you would run rule the second. Not that any of that matters to our game Saturday that I am focused on. So good luck to you.

I stand corrected, your right, my fault. Got some games mixed up. Thought the fans in Crosby that night, despite the score, were still were awesome staying till the end. I was impressed by that because after the second inning, it was all but over and they could have left. Have heard the Crosby fans are great so please don't take my shots at Baller06 to include all Crosby fans. They are directed at him and those that encourage him. Good luck to Crosby as well, PLC will be a tough opponent as will Elgin for us.

Wow, way to bring the wife, kids, and my testicles into a forum post about football! First of all Periballo is a Greek word meaning to surround and was used as a term for our defense when I used to play football. Its unique, no one ever uses it, makes an easy screen name. Second, I assure you I have both testicles, since you seem to be worried about that, and I have do have a wife and kids. IF Brenham and Crosby meet up you will get to see my oldest son firsthand and those of you that know him are shaking your head in agreement. And before you start patting yourself on the back thinking that you have me riled up and upset, stop, you don't! Can anyone tell me what Crosby is known for.......seriously never heard of them till I moved to this area. Heard of Dayton, PNG, Nederland, Vidor, etc, never Crosby though. How many titles do they have, how many appearances do they have, regionals???? Any sport???? I know Yall lost to Elgin when Yall were UNBEATABLE with the twins last year.....and Brenham baseball run ruled yall TWICE in the playoffs last year. But if all we are known for is ice cream, then so be it. Blue Bell ice cream, eat all we can, sell the rest.(except in Crosby)

Not to get into this with you, because I support Dayton(they seem to have first class kids and fans from my exp) and have had made that quite clear, but #5, Earnest Patterson, had 40 carries for 237 yds that night against Dayton. That was the toughest game the Cubs played except for Aledo and after the game the Dayton fans were gracious in defeat, hence the respect for them. Now you on the other hand, seem to argue with anyone that makes any comment that you feel you can crack on. Don't think the picture was aimed at Dayton, but was just showing the DCTF 5A cover boy doing his thing and if you don't think this kid can run........(Crickets.....Crickets.....Crickets.....Crickets.....Crickets.....)      

I saw this post and was about to say Ennis, then I saw where you posted this. It's the wing T, but same concept, misdirection and create mismatches with formations and motions. I think the wingT or slot T would be just as successful at the bigger schools because it's just like the veer in the old days, it's something that you don't see all the time, and it forces you to play assignment football.

Wing-T and Slot-T are and can be successful, but you better be able to throw. You find yourself down by 21 pts and you can't throw, those offenses make it hard to come back because it eats up clock to score. PLC last year against Brenham was down 42-14 in 3rd but kept running the ball because they couldn't throw. They took 9 mins to score a TD in the 3rd qtr and all the fans were like OK. If you run those offenses you better have one helluva defense to either shut down the other team or create TOs. Most schools I've seen be successful runnning those offenses have a great D to go with them.
