  1. Silsbee has weapons upon weapons...they can run and pass with ease. The Tigers have some big children up front and the added attack of a Tide End...Defensivly the Tigers will be strong and fast and I believe they will very selfish when it comes to yards and points

Got a sports bar in Silsbee:)

We can go to that hamburger joint on 327 down the high school...I will reframe from naming in respect for Hamburger Depot.  That's about as close as we can get but anyway we can bet a burger and beverage of your choice...you got WOS and I got the Tigers...I will take that bet for sure!

  3. Look...a good friend of mine is an OC of a college program and he has told me that 7on7 is a tool that they have become accustom to using for identifying possible recruiting prospects. But I'm sure there are those who know better and have hard nosed opinions that they tout as fact but bottom line with the exclusion of satellite camps by the NCAA...7on7 got way more important and that from the horses mouth.

Figured it was your opinion bc it is wrong. College Coaches dont care about 7 on 7. Only people who do are the rating services. 7 on 7 main use is for developing players in a teams passing game.

Thanks for setting me straight...I figured you would...lol!

They didn't fall asleep they just got beat, They were out played on that night, starter was pitching well until the 5th, he just got rattled and let the umpire get in his head.  The first game was close until the 6th too.  Good luck in the playoffs, and I hope y'all do well.

My comment was aimed at myself...like I did not see that coming...taking nothing away from D-Ville. The played better and won the game...that's why we play them!

    You know this how?

7 on 7 shows skill...speed...orientation. Scouts use it as a pumping on or off point. If they shine than they graduate to actual observation during game condition if the don't well it's a big see ya. 7 on 7 is becoming the prerequisite for scouts IMO

IMO...that means In My Opinion...opinions are just that and not necessarily supported by any one fact...It is a subjective statement. I guess it just seemed logical and at the same time I have heard others who have spent more time around it. Seems that several talented ball players have gotten attention from such events and then have gone to be more deeply scouted.

  8. It is not as easy as folks think to transfer...they are getting tough on this stuff. This will not just get rubber stamped...alot of questions will be asked and deliberation will take place. this is not a majority rule thing, this is an "everyone agrees thing". I am not questioning the motives, I am just saying ya better have your ducks in a row if you expect the transfer to be approved. This is not a PEG list situation so its gonna be hard to sell academics so this is gonna come down to a residency issue, which I am sure it is legit but it will have to stand up to the UIL policy surrounding change of residency. I personally see this one going to Austin in an appeal. One thing for sure Coach Smith will not do anything to endanger his program.

  9. Well not casting dispersions, but new coach...new direction...new philosophy...increased expectations on kids commitment = Little Johnny aint getting his love and thinks that somebody is gonna beg them to play...In the end the pony gets broke and they play ball. (JMO) or maybe I am wrong and they have just lost interest, but I just don't see that in Hardin.

  10. JMO...when a forum is created it is created to encourage conversation. Within that conversation is opinions and at times those opinions are subjective and objective, all motivated by perceptions and yes facts. You know the ole' saying that the pen is mightier than the sword is very true and when someone creates a vehicle for such things, there is a responsibility to make sure it is not used to hurt people. On the other hand when a site like this is created, than a certain tolerance has to be understood. But lines have to be drawn and it should be drawn where subjective statements create desperation. I don't always agree with the sites administration but I do respect them and I can appreciate the opportunity for informative and at times entertaining conversation. This is a good forum and I hope folks can respect the rules and each other so it continues to be relevant.
