I picked Shadow Creek as my dark horse at the beginning of the year. The good thing is they only have one more year until they move to 6a. They already have the numbers. Alvin ISD is already planning to build HS #4. That would knock Shadow Creek back to 5a or if it's built before the realignment, they'll just stay 5a. First year of varsity and in the title game!

I've watched almost all of WB playoff games. It just seems they're destined to win a ring this year. Big play ability and the defense has intensified the last couple of weeks. WB wins 35-31

WB is looking good and that D is getting pressure to QB. I don't care that a couple guys out, WL O-Line getting whipped in the trenches. Bruin offense is doing enough so far.

I'm talking an overwhelming majority of 5a and 6a playoff teams. I'm sure they compete with some. That could be said with ANY really good 3a and 4a semi finalist teams.

Talking 5a and 6a that some people were talking this year. Newton would get steamrolled. I think Newton has a really good team for 3a. Just please, no more talk of them beating the big boys. Nothing against Newton, just saying now that I've seen them play, that was crazy talk.

When ya'll say adjustments, I scratch my head because I didn't really see adjustments through the whole game on defense. Tompkins literally ran 30 plus plays by running the ball to the left side all game long. I'm not exaggerating either. It was crazy to see them run the same play over and over without any type of penetration, no corner blitz, LB blitz, etc. It was Tompkins blowing up WB D-line and driving them into the LB's and picking up 7-8 yards a carry. Atleast have your kids on D-line dive low and try to make a pile, twists, stunts, something. Nothing was working. They were subbing out D-linemen almost every play so I don't know if they have injuries or what. This was just an observation and maybe I didn't notice adjustments made, but didn't look like any were done.

I was at the game, I don't think I could've taken another series of that game. Super stressful. I'm still scratching my head on Tompkins running every play left side through 3 or 5 hole for 300 yards. I didn't see any adjustments being made. With that said whoever said Tompkins wasn't any good is crazy. Their line whipped WB in the trenches, QB threw a pass about 60-65 yards in the air and the RB #24 was very good. They were sketchy on Defense, but WB playing calling made Thompson D better then what they were on defense.

Almost zero pressure in backfield last night. Two penalties for having 12 men on the field. When Tompkins did pass WR's we're wide open. Gonna have fix those issues before next week. Tompkins owened the trenches last night as well.

Who's #3 for WB. Kid can flat out fly!

Sat with Shug's dad last night at the game. Glad I could watch him one last time in HS along with the other seniors. Good luck the rest of the year and I look forward to the battles during baseball season! FB Marshall is as strong of a team that I've seen in a good while.
