Yeah, they play Friday

Every time a team loses, it's natural for fans of that team to blame someone, whether it's coaching, players, refs, field conditions, or whatever. LV made the big plays when it counted and WB didn't. I'm very proud to be a WB graduate and former player. WB got lucky in the playoffs. For anyone to say they thought the Bruins would be in title game is lying. They escape at least 3 playoff games that I know of to get to the finals. The difference was the WB kids made the big plays when it mattered and pulled it out. Hats off to both teams for a very intertaining game.

How can anyone not like Peevey? Seems like a cool guy. Now unleash hell on #66 and the rest of Longview. If LV keeps a 3 man front, WB should just run it down thier throat.

Take away a couple good seasons, when did Central have good football years(created in 86, if I remember)? The best football players always went to WB. I can remember when kids would transfer to WB for football season and then go back to Central after the season was over. Ozen players had success when they were merged with WB. North End hasn't been relevant since the shared title in 84 as French HS.

BH is going to make some noise this year in both district and playoffs.

I picked Shadow Creek as my dark horse at the beginning of the year. The good thing is they only have one more year until they move to 6a. They already have the numbers. Alvin ISD is already planning to build HS #4. That would knock Shadow Creek back to 5a or if it's built before the realignment, they'll just stay 5a. First year of varsity and in the title game!

I've watched almost all of WB playoff games. It just seems they're destined to win a ring this year. Big play ability and the defense has intensified the last couple of weeks. WB wins 35-31

WB is their own worst enemy

I sure would like to see WB try a couple of outside running plays or a better QB draw design. Come on Brook, you letting them back in it.

WB is looking good and that D is getting pressure to QB. I don't care that a couple guys out, WL O-Line getting whipped in the trenches. Bruin offense is doing enough so far.

I'm talking an overwhelming majority of 5a and 6a playoff teams. I'm sure they compete with some. That could be said with ANY really good 3a and 4a semi finalist teams.

Who knows, who cares? It was an observation. So much booty hurt when someone doesn't agree. Like I said, Newton is a very good 3a team.

Talking 5a and 6a that some people were talking this year. Newton would get steamrolled. I think Newton has a really good team for 3a. Just please, no more talk of them beating the big boys. Nothing against Newton, just saying now that I've seen them play, that was crazy talk.

Yea, then he transferred to U of H. All American drafted to the Jets and blew a knee out.

My cousin, Johnny Norwood was on that team. I remember that season like yesterday.
