I think the district is loaded with talent and good coaches. Nederland, Barbers Hill, WB, and United all have great coaches. PNG coach seems decent, they hung with everyone less year in close games with a lot less talent. Strong district all of the way around. I can only go off of the games I watched, but if we picking between BU and WB coaching staffs. I felt like WB coaches changed up tempo, coordinated plays, substituted at right times and made adjustments better in games that I watched over the BU. I have no skin in the game, just my observation.

WB is going to be stacked again next year.

So, there were multiple people in the room during the conversation between the supt and head coach? Just curious, because if nobody else was present and the Supt and head coach didn’t repeat the conversation, then someone secretly recorded the conversation. If none of that is applicable, then it’s a rumor. I don’t know either way, but “sources” is a lose word in my book unless I’m missing something.

BH has a lot from Louisiana. In my neighborhood, I have a bunch of Louisiana, Deer Park, San Antonio, Beaumont, Channelview, a couple from North Shore, several original BH, but nobody from Baytown.

Lufkin is a place that playing calling in certain critical situations won’t hurt as bad because of the athletes and speed of the skill players can make up yardage. BH on the other hand couldn’t. At Lufkin, you just need to put the pieces together, be a good manager of the game, and make sure everyone keeps emotions in check. Let the players show the athleticism that they possess. Lufkin will be fine.

I agree Abseck will do good at Lufkin, his OC won’t last long unless Abseck calls the plays. That’s what I’m talking about. Good luck to them.

Go look at past years playoff games on play calling and even regular season. I think if you ask most BH fans, they would agree it was questionable at best. My opinion of course which means little. I was told Abseck brought him with him.
