No no. HJ will improve much more than the rest of the district. The whole team will be benching 400 lbs and running sub 4.5 40s.

No excuses. Refs were bad both ways. WOS was the better team. They made the plays when they needed them, like converting a 3rd and 35!
HJ hung for awhile but faultered ate, you know when it was 20-14 you weren't quite sure if you could pull away. But, you did, congrats and hope to see you in the state quarterfinals!

A while ago it was on "tired legs" he will blow by them, now it's just "not as fresh" legs. Y'all talk about WOS fans making bold statements, but your really the ones making the bold statements about what y'all are going to do. Then when someone besides a WOS person calls you out on it then you back off and reword it. If anyone has a reason to think there team is unstoppable it WOS. As everyone knows they have not been beaten in this district. Could you pull off the upset? Of course, but it's extremely unlikely. It truly makes you sound foolish coming on here talking about how unstoppable your team is and how your gameplan will beat the Mustangs, when coaches for the last 10 years who do it for a living can't figure it out. Nope, not the answer....jumping out early didn't help OF and it won't help HJ...(the only way to beat WOS is to be +1 when the clock strikes - 0:00 in the 4th) but for that to happen for HJ, half of WOS will have to go down with injuries -v- HF....
 
I'll go with a 2013 repeat - WOS - BIG...it's just a matter if WOS coaches want to make a statement after all the smack from HJ...or call the dogs off to show sportsmanship.

And "if" Orangefield doesn't make a couple of mental mistakes the game probably never gets blown open. The "if" goes both ways. Don't try and downplay how close the game really was. If HJ had won 35-14 it also wouldn't have depicted how close the game truly was. Two good teams played a pretty even game and HJ came out on top. It's as simple as that.

I posted in our other thread about the young man in OF's band that played the drum. I have spoken with several other HJ parents and I am hear to tell you that young man made my night. If you want to see true enthusiasm, grace, and school spirit watch OF's half time show. This kid is a hit. Hats off OF you are a class act in my book.

I have to disagree with your comment about Orangefield. HJ scored on a short field because of 2 muffed punts. You take the turnovers out of the equation and the final score could have been different. HJ won plain and simple I do not dispute that. But in reality this game could have went the otherr way. That is high school football for you.

Yes, I was a little hard with my comments. I guess the reason I said that is the playoff system is so watered down now. When you say legit playoff teams it is hard for me to agree whenever they take 4 teams.

Great game as I expected. With that said I want to point out who I think the MVP was. I am giving my MVP vote to the young man in the band who ROCKED the drum. He absolutely made my night. Hats off to you OF for giving this young man a shot you could tell by the look on his face he loves his spot.

No no no. Keep up buddy. HJ is the only team in SE tx that has improved from last year. They either beat teams that are deemed worthy opponents because they are superior to all other teams this year OR played horribly if they are taken to task by teams they consider inferior. Hope that helps ;)
