what kills me about people like you who just talk about what you dont know. Why hasnt there been not one mention of HJ and its "recruits" over the years including this year?  The best player on the team "#5" went to a charter school in beaumont last year and all of a sudden hes starting at HJ and will be first team all district.  But no one talks about this?? i wonder why? could it be race? Also Hf's "transfer's' actually live in their school district.  some of you people are just sad.  

what will happen with the transfers.  you know the transfers who had never played varsity basketball before this year?  Im assuming u are implying that they would leave HF to go to BU and be on JV again?  lmao yall say the darndest things. 

Im pretty sure u don’t know “this guy” saying he will do anything to win. U are the prototypical talking head. Yes race is involved Davis is white Rideaux is black Yet no one speaks on how kids come to HJ and play. U do know it’s a parents decision to bring a kid over. But y’all will praise Davis for winning and say Rideaux wins because of recruits it’s sad

Let this sink in BISD allowed two of its brightest young coaches Tigee Rideaux(HF) & Micheal Thomas (Temple HS) to leave the district & rebuild struggling programs . Well i believe HF was without their pg I could be wrong . But tonight no adjustments were made the LCM coach so losses will happen but what you after the loss says a lot

I honestly think most of the people that post negative things about Hefner are old schoolers. I’m a old schooler myself and back in the 90’s when you had a big D1 recruit on a team they dominated the game. They would score 30 plus a game no mater if they were doubled teamed or not. They stuck out like a sore thumb but times have changed. You look at the total makeup of Hefner and he has all the intangibles to become a big time player. He has a lot of things going for him that you can’t teach but he also has a lot of improving to do on the offensive end. He missed several layups, jumpers and free throws that he will have to learn to make if he’s going to have a successful college career which he’s capable of doing but he’s not there at this point. The bright side is he will have at least 4 more years to improve. 

Excellent post Mamba. What I put in bold pretty much sums up how the "Hefner haters" think or don't know about his game and the game itself.

Hey Jake94  only someone who lacks sound basketball judgment would say something stupid about Hefner and how he plays. The causal fan will only look for stats as an effect on the game but the game is played is many different facets. Hefner is essentially the pg for Nederland he’s extremely unselfish and his iq is really good, he understands unlike others. What he does for Nederland doesn’t show up in the box score but if you watch the game then you’d know. The comparison to Colton was unfair because Colton was a monster but of course Hefner has a different mindset compared to CW. Hefner will be a better college player because of his upside,jmo. Now as for Clover I don’t know a lot of coaches who teach post play anymore because the game is for guards, stop thinking because Clover is big he’s suppose to dominate his effect on the game at this point is defensively .The way these officials officiate is terrible big kids get hacked constantly so when he gets the ball yes he’s timid the refs not gonna call it and if he plays physical their gonna penalize him . Bigs today are becoming extinct which is why you see them camped out around the 3pt line .Yes he should get some easy layups,dunks and knock down the ft line jumper but his stats should read 12p,8r,4b,3a if he can do that Memorial should be fine. Some folks need to stop looking for stats and watch the game thoroughly but then again everybody don’t know what too look for either !!!!

Is this the best season in the last 10 years or so for HF sports? 

You guys do know it isnt that serious I mean its just basketball. They lost a couple of games I mean I love the way Silsbee players and community feels about losing ,hell they truly care unlike others. . But on to the next game fix the mistakes and win the next one thats it. What they’ve accomplished the last 4-5 years wont be duplicated for a minute this comes in cycles every 7-10 yrs or so. Hell of run cant ever complain about that. And BRAY BUSH is the best to lace em up in the uniform PERIOD!!!!!

Darryl "Boogaloo" McArthur was a pretty special player too. McDonald's AA and he played in the era of no three point line. Averaged 29 points his senior season and it was his career points total record whom Bush broke. Had there been a 3 line, Boog would have definitely scored more.
McArthur was unstoppable at times, just like Bush has been.

Yep because ppl are mad HF isn’t an easy win anymore and when their team loses they get uptight about it . When they don’t have a story they’ll make one . 

Sounds to me like grown men haters if it fits your narrative then its ok but when it doesn't you have a problem. If Tigee had a terrible season and their record was 8-25 none of you would have a thing to say . FYI relationships were established way before any of this So called recruitment stuff took place. Kids gravitate towards this man and if my son was still in school he would be playing for him. Wouldnt care if he had to sit out a year or whatever the case was . You really think he's the only coach in this area who has kids not from the community or recruiting as you say. Wheres the energy for the all the other schools I mentioned earlier like I said no comment on that huh . Go find a hobby or something instead of crying on a message board because you got beat
