I played on that floor for years never had a problem...but it is old and actually WB needs a new gym along with Central... But im sure that will never happen theyll just keep patching it up here and there...i think our schools are behind when it comes to gyms for some reason....

People still get mad because of suspected recruiting ...lol.... In the end who cares life isnt a level playing field but do you go through it crying and complaining.... Thats for another forum tho anyways you dont have to recruit when your program is successful.... I mean theres no way Coach English would EVER ask a kid to come to his school right?!!!!!'(and before Nederland ppl go crazy calm down we all know just accept it) ... Get over it and let these kids play basketball a sport they love and lets as adults sit in the stands and cheer them on...or better yet tell the coach to prepare them as best he can to go out and play with NO EXCUSES... I mean after all in LIFE you cant live with EXCUSES as your main platform.....

yes they do.. I watched both...biggest thing is they play for each other and communicate very well

I can see why BIG SANDY has a chance to get to state every year those guys are hard to defend. 5 shooters on the floor with excellent ball movement and a great concept of TEAM DEFENSE to go with it.

At the end of the day who cares . I mean like i said before ,ppl should be happy this is happening in SETX . Never before has a player caused this much stir and it doesn't matter where he ends up out here just know eveyone playing against him will have an opportunity to be seen. Now what you do with it is totally up to you. Tired of these adults crying , nobody and i mean nobody would turn down 7'2 if eveything is in order....with that roll the balls and lets  hoop.....

Ozen went 2-1 lost to North Shore on a buzzer beater ....had 3 seconds remaining t/o was called but the table started the clock as soon as the ref handed the kid the ball, where they do that at....lol

Beaumont Central HS fans have a big reason to smile!  BIG as in 7-footer type of big.  Chris Yannick Sodom stands 7'2, in the eleventh grade, and is originally from Nigeria.  It appears, the Jaguars have landed a big fish into their program, and he is currently enrolled at the school.  If all things go as hoped, Central could nudge in front of Yates, Bush, or Elkins as the Pre Season favorite to win Region III - 5A.   I can hardly wait to get a look at Sodom when Central takes the floor October 3-4th at the Super 16 Extravaganza.  By the way, the schedule has been updated on the FREE Rcs Sports App (you may download from the App Store on your cell).  

When you see the forms you have to fill out to be eligible to play in BISD then you'll understand 

 ... I hope they get them it's good basketball for the area the more attention the more kids will be seen its a winning situation for everyone if you look at it from that stand point ..

if West Brook can keep the kids they have now then in 2017 will be pretty good. Aaron Brown out works most.

Very good kid, he's a workout warrior, plays Tony Allen like on defense , once he gets a consistent jump shot and improves handling skills he'll be solid ...

Idk Kelly will be tough but Ozen class of 16' & 17' along with Silsbee will be tough to contend with ....

The leaves on the trees are shaking already im sure the wind isn't done blowing yet they'll be a lot more shakeups

A lot of variables come into play if you're trying to get kids into one organization. It sounds easy if you put the kids under one umbrella orgamiza ooops!!! Under one NON-PROFIT community base basketball umbrella.
Put your top performers on your 17u showcase team and have them participate in NCAA certified tourneys with a PROVEN track record for having coaches at their events. Another 17u team to travel to local tourneys and another 17u developmental team.

Get someone to volunteer work on the NAIA, JUCO, & D2 schools to develop a rapport with coaches. Get your players workouts in front of the coaches. But this can be tricky too because you better not send them just bodies and a prayer. Keep your egos at home ;)

And also I want to add this if people would get off of their emotional side and come together SETX could produce tons of scholarships for kids with the amount of talent we have but we let our kids go to Houston and play and make their programs better and make them money. If ppl are truly about the kids then this could happen .. It's a shame when AAU coaches have a greater interest in making a name for themselves than they have in making a name for their kids...I'm tired of hearing about who doesn't get along all I know is EGOS have to be put aside for this to happen. Doesn't matter who sends the kid to college as long he goes . We could have a legitimate show deal with this this but of course someone would get greedy take money turn kids against each other and then boom it all blows up ....this is why you have 20 summer teams in SETX because no one trusts the next man to do right ...I've think all the coaches out here do well and I think they do care about it because this is time consuming and costs money ...and I havent had any problems with any of them so I'm all in.....just something to think about...
