Absolutely a kid should be allowed to play if he/she homeschools.
As long as the kid follows the same exact curriculum as the one provided by the school, completes the same assignments as the classes offered at the school, all work is graded by the teachers of record at the school, and the kid goes to the athletic period every single day, participates in the same offseason programs as provided in the athletic period, follows the same guidelines as the athletic policy provided by the athletic director....
Oh wait.  They can't do all that unless they're enrolled in the school.  Sorry for your luck.

HF wins against Sabine Pass and the refs.  Devren Clark scored 30 and 26 in the final two games. Again no D1 players in the gym unless you are talking about him. Best player in the tourney by far. HF with 3 sophomores and 3 freshman is starting to play a little better as a team  and the 3 senior starters are leading them and making them better

HF wins championship game over Sabine Pass 63-50. Good job Horns

Scrimm moved to Dayt,Bronco stadium

HF had no scrimmages on schedule for the new realignment with the new AD took over. Therefore HF had to find someone who would allow them to join in because most were already scheduled when the new staff took over.

I wonder why HF agreed on two away scrimmages... fans would like to see what we have without having to travel so far for just a scrimmage?

My guy, bobcatfan4life (who at this point I must thank DEEPLY for his help in getting the regular season schedules) just pm'd me that Cleveland and H-F are going to Tarkington for a scrimmage on Thursday at 6:30 pm.

Sounds like a good first scrimmage for HF... who do they have this week, I could not find anything on the schedules that I saw?

Controlled portion of scrimmage....
HF offense vs Tarkington defense first 12 plays of scrimmage. 
Play number 1-70 yard touchdown run. 
Scored 2 other touchdowns in the first 12 plays of the scrimmage. That's 3 td's in 12 plays for the first group.
second group struggled offensively. 
During live portion HF had 4 possessions. Struggled on first 2. Scored on the 3rd and ended then scrimmage on the 14 going in with a couple of throws into the end zone. 
Defense played well vs Tarkington. Struggled a bit vs Livingston. Overall a good showing for a young group and new staff. 

For any of the HF fans out there, I heard today that former OC Zarosky ended up at Gregory Portland as the oline coach. Believe Rhoades was his high school coach at Cameron, so makes sense. Best of luck Coach Z.

No It is a reference to how the parents operate now.  The Coach before Toot did not do any conditioning and Toot came in and coached the kids with conditioning and telling them what to do and since he was not from there a select few village idiots did everything to complain about his program.  Now that the other tragic situation happened I don't know if I would touch any job in that district, not for fear but they do not go about their complaints they right way.  It is social media first and school board second and the coach may get contacted at some time after that.  It's a bad deal
 

Anybody hear the speech the new AD from HF gave last night? Didn't realize HF was losing 20+ seniors this year. I get the impression that he is serious about the girls getting their physical training up a notch or two. Should help the program.

Where exactly are you getting your info from?  That is one of the most asinine comments I have ever seen on here, and I have seen you put some doozies.  Check your information before you throw out incoherent babble.  Hear any info from any of the coaches that are leaving as to why they are gone?  I bet if you ask them, they will tell you.  Don't go by what he said and she said.  This is what makes you look foolish and others from Lumberton bad. People associate the rest of the town with you sometimes and it is a shame.  There are some coaches leaving, some by choice and some non-renewed.  What would cause a mass exodus after a 7 win season in Lumberton?  Ask yourself that question.  Where does it start?  Top or bottom?  How many of Babin's former coaches did he bring with him from Warren?  Deweyville? Houston? Where are all the Babinites that are following him to the promised land?  How can so many jump ship and follow Jehling to the land of Horns?  How many have interviewed for jobs here and turned them down?  Believe it or not, there is not a line of coaches beating down the door to get into Lumberton.  For you to throw out that the coaches that are leaving were "lazy" and did not want to work based on something you "heard" is absurd.  Check your info next time.  You know so much and like to keep everyone informed, ask around these questions and see if you like the answers.
