If Hamshire plays some defense this year and they have some players that can step up on offense they have a chance to finish second and possibly get a playoff win . Their last playoff win was in 1996 which ironically enough was their last outright district title for the school. Also this year marks the 40th anniversary of the schools deepest playoff appearence and the  only qtr finals victory against. #1 ranked cameron yoe . They would loose to eventual state champs Lagrange 20-14 . Lets hope they can do something on this anniversary,  i dont see 13-1 but we can always hope . Lol !!

@DCM1_: One on One's and camps don't prove how good your on the field play is. When the NFL start drafting for that, let me know.

Stephen Yarbro got his first offer today from Louisiana College. So proud of him! Ready for some Raider football this fall 

According to KOGT'S Coaches on the Move section, he landed a position over at HF.

Today HF participated in Navasota 7 on 7 tournament. Winning 3/4 games to advance to State Tournament. Good job guys.

One other thing worth mentioning about Toby: I have seen him offer to bring a kid from another school in another district that couldn't afford to go on his own to one of these camp trips he was making. Toby had absolutely nothing to gain by doing so, other than to help a kid with no ties to his program who was trying to get a scholarship to go to college.

Yes. Now that track meets are during the week at odd times, yes... Back in the day when it was on a Friday and Saturday, good hard working parents could show up to support they're kids. Now baseball is doing these weird times and dates...

It shouldn't matter if stats are right....the award is over and Jacquet won.Which i believe they got right. But since some dnt wanna let this die...i used pbstats.pointstreak.com to get kings total and all purpose yrds and tds. Im not sure if all school update their players stats but u can try to see

seay played in 5 game on the defense and not the hole game and still had 30 plus tackles. And you're correct this is not a debate again congrats to all of the boys that were nominated and the finalist.

Seay, Dauphine and Smith were nominated. Dauphine and Smith did not make finalists.

Please don't take this one thing away from these kids all that were nominated not just the finals all that or nominated had A great year for their team this is on the hands of the voters I can promise after reading who the voters were and if I knew how to snapshot it and put on this site you would see that the voters only stats to go of off. At the banquet you would know that Mr. Smith was more than a stats guy he didn't know one thing about football when he got into coaching this award was on leadership character motivating your team to a higher level. Again congrats to the two winners well deserved

Everyone had their favorite player that they wanted to win. They were all deserving or they wouldn't have been nominated. There were several that didn't get nominated that could have easily been in the mix. These are kids still. They play a game they love because they love it. Then on a message board, they get dogged or put down. Sure it may motivate some, but damn grown ass men talkin trash bout some kids. It seems like that is what this is turning into.

Like sage said congrats to the two wins deserve. But i get the one i wanted MVP of the District thats means i earned the respect of the coaches. Great year time to move on.
