In Newton we don't expect to lose. This started back in my opinion in 1973. We have had and still have dedicated coaches. Coach Thompson , Coach Barbay , WT Johnston,  Bryan Barbay the son of Curtis Barbay is with Newton now. It's a family environment in Newton. When our boys hit the field they expect to win. This along with a great off season program each year and many hours of late night planning by our Coaches placing the talent they are given in the right place. The community is dedicated to our teams. Our fans are 110% behind our team and young players in all sports. It starts in the lower grades. Our coaches in the junior high are very much responsible for our winning ways. They are the seed of the fruit we develope.  Without a good Jr high coaching staff you will not have a developed high school team.  It takes the complete process to have a great team each year. Including great teachers to keep these guys and girls on the right track. A good family life at home is also very important. That's where it all begins. Purple Pride.

Newton swept the district  Jr. High thru high school. It makes sense to learn the offense and defense basics at an early age then once in high school your not starting with a blank. It's got to help and I know Newton believes in it.

There hasn't been much talk about Newton lately since they got into district, when they were getting beat by the bigger schools they were the talk of the internet. What's the deal?

WOS should go to the top this week. There's not a team around this area in 4A 3A that can beat them. 
 

I honestly haven't understood why they weren't number 1 all year. Not saying EC or Kirbyville isn't good but I believe WO-S to be the best in there state classification. Much less the local 4a-3a poll. 

welp, I guess WOS shall assume the top of the middle poll again.  Totally get why EC would be ranked 1 until losing this week but just seemed off that the Mustangs weren't 1 on that list. 

if they dont like it then they should stop losing and win. Pretty simple.

We have depth at RB again!

CC had 10 yards of offence at half, just found out tonight that we have more starters out than i thought, but that is ok let them rest, coachs got this under control! " 1st touch of the season = TD"

glad to hear that, i hope we get the best CC team they can field this year,  and happy for the kids that were out get another opportunity to play

Just read on Smoaky.com that CC may be a complete different team than Crockett faced. Those missing players may return for this game. Hope the Eagles don't take these guys lightly.  Just saying..

Yea I'd rather not stir him up, I lose IQ  pts when I read such mess......besides I haven't heard from  old CC09 since last years game, we was gonna meet and shake hands and talk about the game during warm ups but he stood me up, had me in danger while I was purpled out and all standing amongst as bunched of hungry blue people on CC side in front of their concession stand I made it back alive though

Franklin has been hanging big numbers up for years and we all know what happens when they finally play worthy team, I want think different of them until other wise, I believe trinity played them a good game last night, .......hell we both have to make playoffs before any of this happens anyway

Newton fumbles almost cost Newton the game , Could be a rematch in playoffs . Newton was the better team and Crockett D is terrible , Newton should of won by at least two touchdowns but the usual mistakes kept Crockett in game . 

Both teams was sloppy as far as penaltys,  and turnovers , call me what you want but Newton kept Crockett in this game, Newtons defense made some stops that had to be made, Crockett can score quick  and from anywhere on the field very dangerous offence. Prolly will be a rematch in playoffs,.......
