I'll give 3 more examples: take away Paul from Bremond, Dallas from WOS and back in the day what did happen-Shorter from Newton and you change the whole dynamic of a team, neither team gets to State (and im saying if Newton had Shorter they at least get there)

Hate it for Newton, a loss on Henderson field of all places to end the year. Good season Eagles. 

Good run eagles they slipped one by us tonight, I predicted 20-28 but of course the other way around, next season starts Monday!!!

I suggest you Change your pickem if you know what's best for you, them eagles are sitting on go, nobody has seen the newton team this year that is going to take the field this Friday, "good luck franklin" GATA!!!!!!

No offense to the Franklin boys but imo they are overrated and if Newton plays like they can, they should win by a couple of scores. 
 

Newton defense still looked salty to me ,Offense was not consistent. However, I thought Marlin had a lot better athletes  on the field than we played the week before. Marlin made several mental mistakes but they matched our speed period. I think we will play better this week, just read to much about how week Marlin was. (Trap Game). Marlin is definitely an under-achiever team, way to many athletes. We better be ready or Franklin will be playing Crockett or C C. JMO

If Newton plays anything like they did Friday night against Marlin , Franklin will win by 2 tds .

well, if they score 60 this game the second team will give up 20 to west, too.  That being said, west is infinitely better than than buna, deweyville, and hardin.  If we're "looking at it realistically", kirbyville has played a super soft schedule, through no fault of their own.  The district is just bad this year besides them and EC.  The D has been very good this year, but they've played 8 mediocre to bad teams in 11 games.  In the other 3 it's closer to 18 points a game, which is still impressive.  All that said, west would be a tossup matchup with east chambers IMO, and while kirbyville beat ec, it wasn't anywhere near 66-7.  I predicted kirbyville to win, but 66-7 is beyond the realm of possibility. 

Garrison defeated Marlin 35-12
Marlin lost to Franklin 57-0
Marlin lost to undefeated Jarrell 28-21 in district. Don't think Marlin is that strong, I think Jarrell is overrated. Don't think Jarrell will get past Crockett.
Marlin beat Rogers 17-14,  beat Dublin 20-7,  Beat Brucefield Eddy 31-14,  beat Clifton 12-6
Lost to Little River Academy 35-8  Lost to McGregor 43-14
 

Marlin is mediocre at best.  If Newton doesn't overlook them this should be a big win for Newton.  I'll take Newton 42-13

I get what you are saying, but a team full of hotshot players needs a good coach to go the distance, this is nothing you already know but discipline is a major part of coaching you have no discipline you have a underachieving team full of hotshots.

Newton swept the district  Jr. High thru high school. It makes sense to learn the offense and defense basics at an early age then once in high school your not starting with a blank. It's got to help and I know Newton believes in it.
