From what I remember vidor is grouped in with a Jasper Bridge City Crosby and Lumberton who is bringing their varsity this year

Not exactly four out of five but since someone mention Ft. Hancock of the late 80's how bout Richland Springs with state championships in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, and 2012 along with a semi-final appearance in 2005. Since 2004 or 2005 their record is 126-6. That is a dynasty. And they are 11-0 this year as well.

I wanted to write something but I am at a loss for words, physically and mentally. That was one of the best games I have seen in my entire life. Congratulations Georgetown on that championship, but thank you for coming down and being a part of that game.
 
Thank you to all the volunteers and everyone at Hardin Jefferson who helped make this tournament so great. Thank you to the fans, who at the end showed that no matter the team in Southeast Texas, we will stick together and cheer each other on. And thank you to all players, coaches, and managers for giving it your all and making the tournament so enjoyable.
 
I wish I could say more about the game, but honestly it was a had to be there game between two of the best teams in the state and two of the best coaches in the state.

Forgot in the same district pairing as Little River Academy, Comanche over Rockdale.

As for Brownwoods district all 4 could easily win or only 1. Wylie's the only guarantee. Big spring plays first to 100 with that defense, Brownwoods still rebuilding, and Stephenville is playing without Stidham. They should be okay because I have heard their back up already has at least 5 FBS scholarship offers after just starting against Wylie.

This was the first time I have really watched him play and he is the best in college. He led Oregon to this win. While yes it was just washington state this game could be his defining heisman moment.

Being from around there it was nice seeing a game like that on tv. Both QBs were great (of course that would happen at QB high) and the running back Williams is a stud. Overall it was a great game to showcase smaller Texas schools.

I do however think ESPN was idiotic playing at 8 on a Thursday. Cooper had at least a 5 hour bus drive back and probably didn't leave until 1. If it was to be at that time should have been in Snyder or Sweetwater.

My random comment about this game is was that a first for Stephenville that they had a holding call called against them at a home games? They Must have been late on the payments.

To be fair they did find the past three Heisman Trophy winners only they saw them as DBs not QBs

And that's why I would rather live through a tornado or an earthquake any day over a hurricane. At least with the first two you don't have to worry for a week is it coming or isn't it?

Buddy Hays swept series over Medina Valley 7-5 and 4-0.

Ennis swept series over Hallsville 7-3 and 3-1.

Aledo swept series over Azle 10-2 and 14-4.

A good coach can create talent. Does that mean he will win? Not always just like a bad coach with lots of talent will win sometimes. I think once a team makes the playoffs that is where the difference in coaching will make all the difference. Small schools may be the best example of a team with less talent being able to win because a good coach knows what works to get the most out of his team on a yearly basis.

Actually no never had anything to do with or against Carroll just lived around Fort Worth for most of my life. He did win at Carroll but even then have they won since he left? Did they win before him?
 
Outside of the 7 years where at Carroll, including the last five he went 79-1 his record has been:  at Yoe in two years 3-7 then 5-5; Newman Smith 4-6 then 5-5; Fossil Ridge 2-7 then 5-5.
 
His talent pool at Carroll will not be matched. Westlake is not Carroll and will never be and for people to think that Westlake can match what Carroll can offer are crazy. How many other schools have an indoor facility so great that NFL teams ask to use it? Can he coach qbs yes, but he is not the coach that people believed him to be. Going to North Texas was good for money but it was an experiment that ended badly.  

Only problem with your logic is the 2011 season after Cunningham, Riney, and Hasse grade graduated. Upset by the crappy school down 377 and then the beat down by Lake Travis. How'd the rest of the season go? Finishing the three-peat.

Buchanan has won state 5 times including 4 out of the last 5 years. Add that to 11 times in the 12 years in 4A going at least 4 rounds deep. As long as Buc's there Aledo will always start the season in the top ten.

4 teams make it. With 16 districts it gives them 64 teams in the playoffs and 6 rounds.

HF keeps refusing to flip with HJ.  Trying to avoid a Monday night game from what I hear if HJ wins the flip.  HJ wants to play Monday.  HJ coach was at HF game Friday night to flip, and HF coach left without flipping.

Just wait until next year. Carroll parents will be going crazy at Pennington. I think the visitors side is around 3k.
