Ed Wade has an uphill battle trying to replenish the farm system and also try to keep the MLB club competitive. It is an impossible task. All those that want to fire Ed Wade, what would you have done differently coming into the season that would have this team contending ahead of the Cards? Look at the Phillies. All those guys were drafted by Ed Wade. Give him a chance to build something - Gerry Husicker didn't do it overnight either.

Terror - Georgia State doesn't have a game listed for November 6 - so it is likely that there is simply a delay in updating the schedule. They also only list ten games thus far on their schedule. No worries.

I'll have to check Lids out. I don't to that mall much, need to check out Lids. A good number of my shirts came from games and Mike Deane era Cardinal Club luncheons. I wear a Lamar shirt or cap or both everyday. Some how my caps and shirts survived the storm and were saved. Well, they were together and I made sure they were saved. I get smiles and some comment on the shirt or cap. I'd like to see more peeps wearing the Lamar logo, to promote the University. You can actually go to lids.com and they have about 7 or 8 different hat styles to choose from for Lamar.

Carlos Lee will not be traded. He has a full no trade clause in his contract that extends through this year and next. He is on record that he would veto any trade. At this point, the Astros have smoke and mirrored their way back into contention. If they can stay within single digits of the division or the wild card, Drayton will look to stand pat, or maybe even make some trade to add a middle of the road starting pitcher for whatever we have left on the farm. At this point, as a die-hard Astro fan, I wish they would just lose big so that the reloading process can begin.

This doesn't bother me at all - there are plenty of successfuy programs that exist in the shadow of other schools. Texas Tech exists in the shadow of Texas, Auburn exists in the shadow of Bama, Georgia Tech exists in Georgia's shadow. Michgan STate/Michigan, OSU/OU, etc. Each of these schools has shown that success can be head even from the shadows. Just go out and win and the press will come.
