LCM beat Tarkington in the YMBL earlier in the year 26-24, 25-17.  They lost to Huffman in the finals of the Huffman tournament 29-30, 21-25.

Defense deserves a ton of credit. Held Sterling under 200 yards of total offense. The 2 RBs got yards, but the really had to earn them. And once they were forced to pass, they couldn't at all. That will hurt Sterling the rest of the season. But they play very hard. Miles improved from last year when I saw them.
 
Memorial's offense wasn't pretty, but they made plays when they needed to. Kenan Washington dropped a would-be touchdown but then had a big 27 yard catch on the game-winning drive. Kam inexplicably went backwards for a huge loss and I thought the game was over on 4th down. But it was a Memorial Miracle. Great awareness by Travon McClain.
 
The Titans still have a lot to work on, but getting the monkey off their back could do wonders for them. I'm no expert, but I did pick them to win tonight lol

I picked PAM to win in the paper and I truly believe that. I think they'll play desperate tonight (in a good way) and get the win.

PA Memorial for sure. the loser of Vidor/Ozen still has an okay shot and Goose Creek Memorial might make a bit of noise. But at least Vidor and Ozen have won a district game. Memorial can't fall to 0-3 with La Porte, West Brook and North Shore still to go.

I went over to Orangefield before the Newton game and coach Smalley mentioned that the 4 game stretch coming up would be tough (Newton, Worthing, H-J & WO-S). Looks like he's gotten them to respond from the slow start to the season.

I know who offensive player of the week will be. Cview's Jalen Hurts!!! 20 for 181 yards rushing, 5 TD's, 21-31 passing for 373 yards and 4TD's. Total offense, 554 yards and 9 TD's!!!

Uh, Coldspring is 2-2 and HJ is 4-0? Maybe that has something to do with it.

I really think the next time PNG and Lumberton play it will be either for PNG to be district champions alone or to share with Lumberton. Both teams were really Good and fun to watch last night

And you ignored the last thing I asked, which I do believe pertains to this season. So I'll ask you once more: how do you know that Spruce Creek beating Seabreeze by a touchdown isn't impressive? Since, you know, we're talking about this season.

Lol. They were 7-3 and made the playoffs last season. So how did you determine that beating them by a TD isn't impressive after 2 games?

I can only imagine how great HF would have been with him, Halfin and Kimler last yr with King already there.
