Here is my makes way too much sense Region 3

    District 9                         District 10                  District 11                         District 12

Huntsville                        Dayton                      Fort Bend Kempner        SA Breckenridge

Montgomery                   Nederland                Fort Bend Marshall            SA Burbank

Montgomery LC              PNG                          Fort Bend Crawford           SA Edison

New Caney WF               Texas City                  Lamar Cons                        SA Highlands

Splendora                       Santa Fe                    Rosenberg Terry                 SA Houston

Brenham                         Baytown Lee             Houston Madison               SA Jefferson

Bryan Rudder                 Houston Waltrip       Houston Wisdom                SA Lanier

                                           Houston Chavez      Houston Sharpstown

Zero shot that they split the HISD district into 2 separate districts in the same region IMO. They're way more likely to keep all the HISD schools together and send Texas City and Santa Fe back to the FB/LCISD district they were in for the last realignment.

  2. It would be bad for Sam Houston and Milby (moreso Sam Houston) to get opted up to 6A. Sam Houston is just not very good, and staying in 6A would further continue that. They're not likely to be good in 5A, but could at least claim a bit more of a chance.

HISD opted Chavez up last realignment, but not Westbury, even though Westbury had a higher enrollment. So Idk what their thinking is when it comes to that. They should just leave those schools where they are, but I highly doubt they do that.

  3. If PNG were to opt up to 5A D1 for this next round of realignment, I assume they'd be back in Region III, and if they are, they'd be sharing it with Randle (for sure) and Iowa Colony (maybe). Angleton and La Porte could move up depending on what the cutoff numbers are, but replacing them with Randle and IC would be just as tough, if not tougher. And you'd still have PA Memorial

  4. Strength of district doesn't have much to do with anything once you get to this point of the playoffs. Because for as weak as SOC's district is, they just handled a Huntsville team that:
-Only lost to PNG by 3
    -Beat Nederland, who beat PNG.

Transitive property also doesn't have much to do with the outcome of the upcoming game, just wanted to prove a point.

I think SOC wins a close one. But these teams know each other now. It's a playoff rivalry a la North Shore/Duncanville now since they seem to meet annually.

Wish I could go to this game, but I don't feel like making that drive. So I'll watch the potential state championship game opponent for either team (Randle v Iowa Colony)

Curious:  Do these kids have a choice in which school to attend?

Looking at the map, Fort Bend Marshall and Stafford are nearby to Westbury to the SW, Willowridge to the south, Sharpstown to the NW, Bellaire to the north, Madison to the SE and Worthing to the east. That's without getting into the charters and privates that were mentioned, like Strake Jesuit, Episcopal, and Kinkaid.

  6. Idk much about him. I will say, I watched Westbury play Pasadena Memorial last season, and they should have beaten Memorial by at least double digits, but I thought their offense was poorly schemed. They just kept running the ball up the middle when they had a better time getting to the perimeter. So they kept Memorial in the game, and eventually allowed a long run for TD, then a special teams TD, then a long pass, and lost the game.

Westbury isn't totally devoid of talent, but I thought they could have been coached better. Take of that what you will.
