Gotcha. When you said QB "is" their weakness instead of "was", it sounded more in general instead of one game (which would obviously be a silly comment). Good luck to the Tigers and #22 the rest of the way!

This post was going nicely until then. I guess if you consider the returning WRS winner your team's weakness, you might be one of the all time great teams. Truth be told, Jack was not at his best last night. And to have 4 TD passes on an off night speaks volume. As for that small defense, must be too small to block. Cause they were having a party in that Silsbee backfield all night. Most impressive takeaway for me was the Tiger defense. Score wasn't indicative of how well they played. As has been pointed out many times, they simply got worn down in the 2h. Offenses can't continue to have 3 play possessions and expect their defense to come up with big play after big play on an offense like WOS's. They were able to do it for awhile but eventually got worn out.

You're welcome. I'm sure he's a great kid but I know he's tough as nails. You have plenty to be proud of!
-
I think they were a sweet 16 team at least. I'm not sure the average aggy fan realizes how well that kid distributes the ball. NCAA is a joke. Will be interesting if he sticks around at this point.
-
Yikes .178. I would suspect he is. Big difference between that and someone who had 2-3 beers. And yes, for a giant like him to be over twice the legal limit, "some vodka drinks" equals a bottle of Goose.
-
No doubt they should win the SEC. Since Donovan left Florida, they have had no competition until the Ags last year. I think A&M will pretty good again this year. Had a chance to be really good until the NCAA hosed one of its freshmen.

Lol!

Kennedale has played a brutal schedule. Sounds like some the Mustangs used to play when they could get those games.
-
Why they won't - Cal's coaching prowess ends on signing day. When Duke has talent close to UK's odds drop even further because Coach K is Cal's daddy. No, seriously, pretty sure he calls him daddy.
-
Starting to sound like an Aggie! Get us out of your dome. You play little brother today, not us! And from the way series has gone, they need your full focus - they have owned Piggie. I guess the bright side is if Arkansas loses, you can flip back to being an Oregon fan tomorrow Gig em Ags!* *Oh hell, I can't do it.** **Goooo sinkhole!!!

That kid is a hoss. He's going to get his against just about anybody. He's thunder and more thunder. I also would guess about 90 percent of his yards against WOS came after contact. I was more than impressed.
-
I've been saying that! (And got a little ridicule.). Could be the best 2 teams in that distinct (and I think LCM will compete as well).
-
True enough. But contrary to an overreacting Pirate fan's comments after week 1, Matthews can coach a little himself. Not only that, he apparently does a pretty good job coaching coaches because he's got a couple from his tutelage doing a dang good job as head coaches in SETX right now. Including one I would put well into my top 5 in the area...
-
Man I would loved to have gotten some of that action! i think Kennedale has a good chance to score. In district, you are taking the under 3 points that were scored on them last year?
-
At least since 98 or 99? I heard they asked Chad if his last name was Thibodeaux or Turkel...

I was talking about the comment Vidor will play everyone close. I think that's probably true with the exception of the Titans. Hope they do but Memorial's speed on defense is a killer when you're kind of one dimensional. Could be wrong but I think it's a bad matchup for the Pirates. Regardless, as you predicted, they are for real this year. As for next Friday's game, on paper it looks like it could be a replay of Week 1 for the Bulldogs. Memorial is just as athletic defensively as WOS (and maybe more so). Not saying they are as dominant as the Mustangs on that side of the ball, but I can see them giving the Bulldogs fits as well. If Memorial takes care of the ball on offense and limits mistakes, I think that one could ugly fast. Then again, Neumann is often the great equalizer so nothing would shock me.
-
I would agree other than Memorial. I don't think they match up well with them at all. But at this point, I'm not sure who does give them a run for their money in district. Haven't seen PNG but it could be them.

Bridger also seems to have the most fire in his belly. Happens often with the baby of the family, especially with all those older brothers. Great mom and pop and great bunch of kiddos.
-
Not all. He has to have 100 on the 2 big plays Silsbee had on offense alone. He took a pounding and kept after it. Tough kid for sure.

How's everybody's Week-5 pickems doing?

I don't think he got past 30 or even to 30 really. Didn't sound like he even had double digit carries in the 2h. I am a bit surprised Thomas hasn't had more carries this year in general. Kid was a beast last year. And they really need to find a way to get Barnes touches. As big as he is, at least on the track, he's probably going to be the fastest kid on the field 99 percent of the time.
-
Silsbee has been really good at a lot of sports lately. I don't know how many district championships they won last year alone but it was several between the boys and the girls. But yes, basketball was obviously their best sport as they made it to the last game and their football team fell a few games short of that I think. But even still, they are a few rings short of comparing their basketball program to WOS's football program. I sincerely hope they stay 3 rings short this year and that WOS gets another football title and Silsbee gets that first one in hoops.
-
I can assure you they furious at half. But I would guess they were pretty happy with the 2h.
-
They played real well and did a good job of making big plays in the 1H. Can't blame them in the second. When you are only getting 3 play breathers, tough to continue to make stops against a team with the playmakers the Stangs have.
