  1. Wasn’t sure whether to post this on the college or pros board. I chose this one because it gets more traffic. I know Dakota’s father posts on this board from time to time and thought this was too good not to share. If this young man doesn’t inspire you, I don’t know what will. I hope he has a long and prosperous professional career. But for the time he was in college, he was the epitome of a student-athlete. [Hidden Content]
  2. Man, very well said my friend.
  3. I think that’s a bit cynical, albeit maybe justifiably cynical. As the video shows, he is now getting hammered from all sides, and rightfully so. But the egg on many people’s face is not so easily wiped off. The greatest tragedy, as the reporter points out (and as Hagar previously argued ITT), is the lingering effect these scams have on real victims.
  4. I will probably get blasted for this but Congress has an all time low number of lawyers among its members. I read it’s somewhere around 36 percent when historically it’s been around 80 percent. This couldn’t have been more apparent than in the Cohen hearings. The questioning was unwatchable. No real examination. People reading statements pre-prepared. No follow ups. All of them just basically stumping their self-interests. I would also submit that the current make up of congrès also lends itself to being unable to negotiate and find common ground, without folks who practice these “arts” for a living. Is this shift in backgrounds/professions of Congress members a bad thing? LRF and I have discussed the benefit of “gridlock” in Congress many times. But what about when we actually need those yahoos to get something done?
  5. [Hidden Content] Stop hitting nails on the head Hagar. Here is a news segment/commentary expressing your exact sentiments by an African American reporter. Smollett’s actions were “deplorable” on so many levels...
  6. No I think he’s done. And don’t disagree. It’s not working. Sometimes good coaches are a fit everywhere. (See Charlie Strong.) Managing the Brewers isn’t the same as managing the Yankees.
  7. I will say I respect Shaka’s discipline of his players. Another player who was recently “kicked off the team” has become a the best player at another power 5 school. Had to admire a man of principles.
  8. My understanding is he can throw a baseball with the best of them too. Big kid is a special kind of athlete.
  9. I should say, I have only heard good things (and know coaches that have coached with him in the past). I haven’t seen CS play a ton. But I thought he did a good job when I’ve seen them. We must remember it’s all relative. If we are comparing coaches to Todd Sutherland, most will appear deficient.
  10. Sutherland is one of the GOATs imo. But I will say that CS also has a coach who has been around a long time in Devers and he does a really good job as well.
  11. Wow. That’s one amazing run the Tigers are on. Just wow
  12. He’s been listed and announced as a junior all season. He will graduate in 2020.
  13. Don’t worry, he won’t be in Nederland’s district, Coach Although he does love playing with Hayden.
  14. He struggles with consistency on that end. Tonight was one of those nights. But only his 3rd year to play the game. He’s getting there.
  15. Yes imo. Better size, not as quick, similar handle, slightly better shooter, finishes above the rim. Think he’s their QB in football. Understand I love Ceasar’s game a ton. Part of it is always looking at how kids will translate at the next level. Someone tell 3rd some idiot on the internet said CS’s PG was better so he will come ready to give him the business
  16. Amen. CS and EC should be interesting as a matchup. CS has better size, EC much deeper at the guard position. Bishop will be the best player on the floor but other guards can be rattled. I would make EC a 3 to 6 pt favorite. But if the Trojans shoot like they did in Barbers Hill tonight, wouldn’t shock me if they won either.
  17. Bucs will get a game in the regional final. Coldspring shoots it like they did tonight they’re in for a battle. The Bishop kid has game for days and they have good length that was neutralized tonight but will be more effective against a smaller team. Should be a good one. Go Bucs! Finish the mission.
  18. Valentin Catt 15p,15r,12b,5a,3s Coy Bryant 15p Kaiden DuBose 8p,5r,4s Tyrone Waggoner 6p,7r,3a Cade Prejean 10p Bryce Bergeron 3p Kyle Pickard 1p
  19. Very proud of these Bobcats. No quit in them. Finished season with school record in wins and playoff wins. Several individual records. Great season and gave their fans and students quite a ride.
  20. You may be right. Sometimes it’s more about matchups than anything and I’m sure CH has improved. But I also know EC has. Either way, can’t imagine it will be close by the second half.
  21. Yates can give them a game. But There will be tougher teams in SA correct.
