They had to out hit their mistakes in the field.     People can complain all they want about the lack of HR's and offense, but the good teams pitch and play defense.

  Probably why they kept Keenum. Yates had some value on the market. Keenum does have NFL game experience and I assume will be the #2 QB until Savage is ready. I would expect that the Texans would release him once Savage is deemed "ready".

Hinojosa proving once again that it's not the arrow, it's the Indian. If you barrel a ball up in any park, with any bat, it WILL travel. The best comment made last night was by the NCAA rep when he said that these are the top pitching teams in the country. If you can pitch and play defense, you can win at any level.      Now the hard part-Just have to beat Vandy twice. 

TCU has played a ton of innings this post-season. It will be tough for them to get out of that losers bracket.   I have Virginia winning it all. This extra "game" may not help, but a day off will.   On a side note, I do not understand all the fuss over the Chron kid. They talked like the new stadium was keeping him from having a home run barrage. Heck, he only had 5 HR's in over 200 AB's all season in other stadiums. Just because he's big and has a brother in the pros does not mean he's HR threat every AB.

UVA wins 2-1.   So far the games have been dominated by pitching. UVA threw a combined 1 hitter last night.

  Not sure how it's "stalking". I follow the MLB Draft. It's a disgrace that the Padres opted for a publicity stunt over adding viable talent to their organization. Last I checked, he quit playing baseball after his junior year in high school and he did not play at aTm. So, unless he's playing summer ball somewhere, he no longer plays the sport. Now, beer league softball may be in his plans for the near future.
