They may not opt them up. That's just an opinion. If they do opt them up it puts all 3 schools in the same district with the same travel requirements plus two additional games in Stallworth.

GCCISD Sterling - 2,202 Goose Creek Memorial - 2,122 Lee - 1,773 This should put them all in 5A and I assume they will opt Lee up to D1.

GCCISD as of August 29th high school enrollments: Lee - 1,757 Sterling - 2,227 GCM - 2,112

The UIL has not had a problem in past years sending GCM to Galveston, Friendswood, Humble, and the Golden Triangle (driving past BH in the process). They crossed multiple bridges every single time. Not going to feel sorry for a school that will take charter busses to their playoff game in Galena Park next week.

Geography should not matter. In years past GCM was sent to Humble ISD when it would have been just as easy to go with Pasadena. Keep Deer Park, La Porte, and GCM with the Pasadena districts if you want. Especially if some of the Pasadena schools drop to 5A as expected.

I do not believe we will opt Lee and Sterling up to 6A.

Absolutely no reason for Deer park to be in the Pasadena district. They should be with King, North Shore and Humble ISD. GCM should be in with the Pasadena schools.
