I don't think anyone has forgot that. Lamarque would probably be a 17 point favorite if not more if this were Vegas. I'm just saying when playing "slow" hasn't worked all year. I as a fan am not expecting it to work here. Buna is at their best in transition. It's not as if I'm saying every possession needs to be a fast break. Just don't slow down and not take the opportunitys avaliable just because the other team is faster.

So are you suggesting Buna just forget what they've been doing all year? Play your game. Play as good as defense as you can. And hope the ball bounces your way a few times.

Have you seen Buna in the half court this season? Very stagnant.

Buna likes to run so that will help them against Lamarque. Just gotta limit turnovers and anything can happen if the trey ball is falling.

I would agree with you but for some reason I think Kountze beats Teague. Would love to see Buna there, tough matchup with Lamarque though.

I said it would be tough. Not impossible. Of course the worst team would get better. But probably not state championship caliber better. Your limited to your resources at hand. What you do with those resources is what makes you a good coach or a great coach.

I thought I seen that they did but maybe I'm just so used to it. If you switch the coaches from the worst team in this area and the best team, it will be tough to ask for much difference no matter how good the coach knows his Xs and Os.

To answer your question directly, I still think Brian English and Andre Boutee are the best coaches in this area, but no it does not make him a worse coach. If anything after losing all but one player and still winning their district it should further an argument to be had for Coach Foster. But I do think your coaching ceiling also has a lot to do with the talent you have in the program.

3 rounds last year. His first two years was 10-11 and 11-12 and they did average but as a first time head coach and a really young one at that you probably couldn't ask to much. Then the next two years Buna was moved up to 3A, now 4A, and had no chance of competing with the top 3 schools WOS, HJ, and Silsbee. Once moved backed down they have played really well in district and split with Kountze all three years and winning the tie breaker this year. Coach Whitmire is doing amazing things in Buna.

If it's one thing I hated about playing in TAPPS it was the long drives for playoff games, and the late starts that came with them. Let's go Kelly!
