Vidor has never broke from the hard nose ball running offense. Back in the day, it was the power I. When Vidor came through the whole you could expect before the ball carrier - a pulling a guard, three water boys, the quarterback, one coach, and a 300lb power back that was as fast as any 160lb running back. Today it’s all about misdirection that will leave you tackling running backs that you thought had the ball. The Hill this week better have spent every ounce of energy on defense and discipline. Contain, Contain, and then Contain even more. Control the emotions and keep your head in the game… NO FLAGS! The Hills offense, if history has anything to say about it, they will score and do so with a vengeance.

It’s a very deceptive offensive scheme. You don’t know if we are going to run right or run left. Hell we might even run up the middle on your ass.

Nederlands never been able to execute it flawlessy on offense  before and I never miss a year. I guess that is what you are trying to imply. Where you at the game ? uh.......let me guess.......thats a No. So you have infinite wisdom about a game that you did not attend ? hmmmm makes perfect sense , especially since the coversation is an analysis of a game from people who actually watched it.

I graduated in 1992.  The running joke was there something in the water that stunted our growth.  Lol.
But seriously,  Vidor plays as a team and if natural talent isn't present you coach them to their greatest potential.   I refuse to believe we don't have the talent to coach up a QB and a few pairs of hands.  TE and slant routes can open up the Linebackers and make the Slot T more effective. 
At Cy Lakes, we began spread with read option.  But we started more misdirection and it helped the running game.  That was 5 years ago but offenses have to evolve.   
JM of course knows this.  He is an amazing motivator and leader.  I just don't know why we don't at least try.

I would like to see us not under center every play. We need to put in some schemes with the QB in the shot gun. Our line is not use to pass protection blocking, so this will help the QB out and not have to roll out for passes. You can also run from the formation as well. Play calling just seems to be stale. Not seeing anything new from week to week. It’s not hard for teams to defend against you when you’re not showing anything different from week to week. 

3rd game in a row I’ve seen this type of thing, well maybe 3rd year in a row or 13th year.

I love my Pirates but we will always struggle against proficient passing attacks.  It's practically impossible to prepare for an offensive you don't usually run.

Santa Fe defensed our offense  as well or better than anybody I've seen. Other than giving up that 68 yard TD run on the first play of the game, they limited our usual big plays.  Indian QB is the real deal, accurate with his passes and a good runner as well.  Receivers have good hands and good YAC.  They used the short passes like a run, picking up 5-6-7 yards and  then would go over the top downfield. They deserved to win and played a solid game in all phases. Congratulations Indians.

Vidor needs to wake up and smell the coffee! If they want to win this game, then they better start playing like they want to win! No excuses! Period.
