Once again I'll repeat that I don't live within the BISD boundaries so I really have no say. However, that never has stopped me before and it won't now. There MUST be a new school
board elected within two years. Apparently, thoss on the board now can run for re-election when that vote comes up. So, in theory, Beaumont could see the same board elected then that is being swept out now. Seems like there should be a rule that anyone on a school board that has to be replaced by order of the TEA is NOT ELIGIBLE to sit on that board again. How many "Walkers" does a community have to endure?

 

Atkins had been suspended for improper relationship with a student! If I were the principal of the campus Atkins was employed, I would tell him to get away from the campus and not come back and report it to law enforcement as soon as possible! Faculty are the students' teachers, not their friends! Period. They have their own dining facilities (faculty/staff lounge) unless they are assigned to lunch duty where they have their own table where they can eat their own lunch. The students have their own restroom facilities and the faculty/staff have their own. I am sick and tired of that stuff being heard on the news! It never happened like 15-20 years ago until Mary Kay Letourneau had an improper relationship with one of her former students as result having two children with him, divorcing her husband at that time rarely seeing her older children, and serving prison time for sexually assaulting a child because at that time, he was under 18. Her time in prison took a toll on her family life. She became estranged with her two children and her father died while being incincarcerated and she couldn't go on furlough to attend his funeral! Mrs. Letourneau and the former student are now married!

I guarantee that I think they are guilty. I am not sitting on their jury and can have any opinion that I want. 
 
I would go as far as most people thinking they are guilty. They might publicly make the correct statements about innocence and fair trials but if you ask them to vote on the likely outcome, I'll be a very good majority wouldn't put a paycheck on not guilty.

But "Technically" he IS the coach. He was offered and he accepted. He was sent on assignment by the district the day after he was board approved. If he's not the coach what is he - a Fedex Messenger?

Could not this point be confused a bit IF both parties had executed his contract in that meeting with Chargios, Comeaux, Saveat and Norris? Yeah, they can still fir him, but doesn't the contract (if it existed at that time)have to be satisfied in some way - usually buy out. In this case - buy back.

Count me in as a supporter of Coach Price. I believe we'll see team improvement (more W's - fewer L's), more area recruitment and less turmoil among the squad. Did you catch the subsequent report or the actual press conference yesterday, where Obama's Press Secretary, the esteemed Jay Carney, hyped a book that his wife wrote and published in 2009?  He managed to tag it into a response that he was giving regarding questions that he was fielding on "Women's Rights In the Workplace."  Now, I'm not egotistical enough to presume that you readers are just panting to the verge of hyperventilating waiting to read what I write about the liberals in general and Obama's adinistration in specific.  But if you have read any of my previous comments you can say without hesitation that I'm consistent with my feelings about this current administration - I don't like Obama, Biden, Holder, Clinton, Sebelius or anybody else that has a current cabinet position.  Nor do I care for the Czars that seem to just be hangers on to a plush government monthly check (or weekly, or there could be some on daily checks, since they should be GONE in the next 3 hours).  But, have you ever heard Carney use as a point of reference from the podium anything written by, say, Lindbaugh - O'Reilly - Hannity - Krauthammer -Coulter?  No, of course you haven't because he hasn't.  That would be a travesty; grossly an inappropriate thing for a person in his position to do.  It's just strange and straining to see how there rules that apply to liberals and a complete set of rules (in the eyes of this administration) that apply to conservatives.
