Poor H-J :'( :'( Next year's champ once again.  ::) ::) Have to at least be on the porch to start kicking the door in, but the low-flying hawks can't even find the house.

I understand the next year bull.... But we are just trying to stay on the topic 94...... You see, if your not a Silsbee or Nederland fan, you get banned for not staying on topic.... You should be ok though, you root for an under-rated, loves to kiss your sister, under acheiving, ok with 2nd place, Silsbee team...
If I could, I'd ban YOU in a New York minute.  You, sir, are a classic muckraker. >:(

I think HF may beat HJ (their so-called rival as HJ folks have said) and challenge for 4th place.
I hope that's the scenario Mr. BG.  And I hope it's the same for Orangefield, Buna, and Bridge City. The other two in the district I'm
not the least bit concerned with. :)

Pop up short of first base. First baseman runs up to foul line. Catches ball standing in fair territory. Ball was in foul territory but had not touched ground. Was the ball caught in fair or foul territory?
Going by only the skimpy facts that you state, if the ball is caught, what difference does it make? :o

Hey Rake sorry about the annoying person in the stands. Silsbee's athletic director had a chat with this person during the game . and read him his rights. But it is annoying for us too . But what do you do with someone like that. Sorry

Give the Dufus his admission fee back and send his stupid arse down 96 Bypass North. :-[

Yea, that dude was doing that when we played them Thursday night.... Pissed me off, every time our pitcher broke his hands that dude would yell something stupid. I thought Farmer Fran and Badsanta were the only classless Silsbee fans but I guess I was wrong...
Good grief, belelmon - that would be a first wouldn't it?  I mean you being WRONG!  Just doesn't happen.  ::)

Let me see how to put this proper, dont want to get banned, got my hand slapped again for being mean to Badsanta..... I cant wait untill football season gets here.... Hopefully the Hawks are going to open a can of whoop-butt on district 21-3A. Well, we can dream right? Our newly found excitment is running rampid around HJ..... Hopefully we will be able to keep up with the onslaught that WOS and Silsbee are going to unleash on us.... I love you guys..... This site is sooooo much fun.... Farmer Fran and Badsanta, you guys need to come over for chicken nuggets and kool-aid so I can get a picture of yall with my boys sitting on your laps.... That would be great.... We could make ice-cream, fruit punch, and play scrabble or even duck, duck goose!

LOL do you mean bankrupt and dropping sports in order to meet a continually dwindling budget resulting from fan apathy?
You do understand Lamar dropped football, canceled sports, and dropped to the SLC by doing the opposite what I say Lamar should do.

If I was running Lamar, Lamar would be a $100 million research University with a campus population on 28k.

Well, by all means, get this post and your resume' to the Board of Regents as quickly as possible.  Surely they have no idea about your abilities or availability. ::)

LOL. Good point. Coach Finney has rekindled the fire and tradition for sure. HD has one of the most storied programs in Texas football. We needed him to wake up the sleeping giant. HD Nation!
C'mon Cat55!  How many state championships has HD won in football that has help them write your "most storied programs" in Texas football? :o ::)

Buna will help the Bobcats cut down on travel cost this year by taking the third spot in the playoffs...I was gonna say something about sending them home with their tail between their legs but then realized Bobcats are not really blessed in the tail category (no tail just a nub )...lol...sorry! In all seriousness no disrespect to OF but Buna is on a roll and I don't see them slowing their roll...hard train to stop!

How'd that work for ya?  8)

HD does have a great group of kids and the community and team is excited for what 2013 will bring.  Our focus is on getting better during off-season and through the summer. Hardin is first on the schedule and that is who we will be looking at. One game at a time. I'm not looking ahead to Alto, Mart, or San Augustine, and I'm sure Coach Finney isn't either. If they are looking ahead at all during this time of the year, it's at Iola, Colmesneil, and West Hardin. That's who we have to beat to get to where we want to be. One slaughter at a time, and Hardin happens to be on the menu first....

And so the drivel begins! ::) 8)

'Cat55, it pains me to say it, but, you are probably right THIS time.  The down side of this is that the rest of us have to see you post it each and every day of the season (and a month before and a month after the season - you get the idea, right?). ::) 8)

We suck in baseball, always have, probably always will. 90% of the team is doing weight training and football drills after school right now as opposed to being on the diamond practicing. I'm good with that. I'd like to see HD's baseball team be successful, but not at the expense of the football team's success lol
I have to admit, Spurger doesn't have THAT problem. :) 8)

Stevenash taking the fact you were caught twice on the MSNBC Special "How to Catch A Preditor", I wouldn't be so fast to talk.

    That would be "predAtor"

Touche' Nash.  I missed that particular MSNBC special but, what is a Preditor, anyway? 8)

Congrats to the new coach and good luck with the program.  If the parents will stay out of the way, I'm sure the program will have success.

Bedelmon, I don't know you or anyone else associated with HJ football but I feel like I need to give some constructive criticism here.  You are very passionate about HJ, athletics and your kids and that is all great.  But what is not great is the manner in which your passion is displayed.  If you were just an old fart that didn't have kids in the program, people would just disagree with you, argue about it and move on.  But having kids in the program, you have a different set of responsibilities.  On that list are things like Support and cheer for your kids and the team, Pick them up when they fail, Celebrate their victories and accomplishments and yes, the 'occasional' grumble under your breath about a coaching call or another kid messing up.  If you want to badmouth the coaching, at least have the consideration for your own kids to use an alias and not your real name.  I know you feel like there is some honor or something in using your name and there is if used responsibly. If you were my dad, I would be begging you to just shut up.  I know you mean well and this should really be coming from someone close to you that cares about you and your family, but either nobody has told you or you are refusing to listen so here it is.  Let the coaches coach and let the kids play.  Be supportive and try to stay out of their way.  It sounds like your kids have some talent and will do something with it, if you don't mess it up for them.
