This is kinda, breathtaking.  The report I got on this game is shocking.  Basically, Lumberton took it to Ozen and slapped  them all around the field,pushed them around, and punked them out.  Actually, the words used to describe this arse whipping were expletive.  And OF, Lil C isn't the best rb in the district.  The area...  Smh.  No credibility...

I know two things for sure: if Ozen looses to Lumberton the Pear Orchard will be pissed but if Central doesn't make the playoffs then the Northend will burn down the City or try and run Toby back to Fruit City! Lol

And BTW, Ozen.  Your ex player, Rodney Randle is having a wonderful Freshman campaign @ Lamar U. as he has been balling out, most recent, the big upset of Sam Houston.  See what happens when talent is utilized correctly?

This is definitely a must win for Central to get their confidence up. They had a very tough schedule facing three 6A teams, and I'll take your words on it that some key players will be back. That's why I have the Jags winning this game by ten. Goose Creek is going to be better than they were last year, and that's why I believe they'll be in the playoffs. And I will be in the building to watch this one because it'll be a good one!

Last time Ozen beat Central was in 2012 I believe. But someone said it best, "It's like the two schools switch up dominance every few years". I know Ozen beat Central a couple years ago but lately it's been Central especially after the coaching changes. Now it just might be Ozen's turn again. Either way my assumption is that it will be a good game as always and the team with the least mistakes wins. I think that will be Ozen. But don't get too lax because Central has always had that speed and talent too. Sorry guys no poems this time. LOL!

Hahaha! No pun intended, you took it the wrong way. I thought that Ozen's victory last week was a very credible one. Therefore, the Panthers should at least be expected to do just as well against another 6A team. But when you see predictions like 35-10 or 35-14 that just says Ozen either beat a bad Memorial team, or won by accident.

Geez guys. Does PA Memorial suck that much this year or do you think Ozen's win was a fluke?

Yea I think that Ozen put a real scare and knocked some sense into Memorial. Titans edge Jags in a close one

Nrver coached, but a fan and student of the game.

Here's my take on the game.

We did what we were supposed to do and won with a qb that pretty much played on 1 leg. He wasn't srambling and he wasn't going to move around well in the pocket and he wasn't going to throw on the run. Ozen knew this and game planned around it. Were lucky that our running game came to play. Wer were gashing them with the run early, but when Ozen made adjustments, that slowed us down and caused us to punt a few times. Imo, deja vu from last week. We never made and adjustment to the adjustment. Fortunately, Ozen didn't have enough horses to make us pay. With this type of coaching, we'll lose to PN-G. I'm still waiting on the plan b.

Ozen's problem is their o-line. They can't run block or pass block. The plays from their playmakers on offense, Randle and Tyler, has to make plays on their own. NOW, Boyd is also a playmaker, but I question his decision making abilities an it appears that passes are only thrown to one receiver.

Also, I heard that a starter that was injured, a senior, was available to play on the o-line for Ozen last night. You figure with the o-line issues that Ozen has, they'd play him, but that kid remained on the sidelines. I dont know what that was about, but to increase your chances of winning, you bring the kid in.

All and all, Ozen and Central has lots of improvement to make, and there is a lot of time to do it. Ozen will face another good team in PN-G that will have them dig deep amd Central has Vidor that will give us an opportunity to work on our run defense, which imo, is one of our weaknesses.

Btw, the game inside the game was insane. Congrats to the Sally Curtis elementary cheerleaders for the performance and the Central and Ozen band, flag girls, and dancers for one of the best halftimes and postgame battles that I've seen in years.
