there are NO easy games in the Big 12. Texas hasn't really looked bad, and they're still down 6.
-
J. Brown still turning the ball over, as well. has one on one trip, and was bailed out or he'd have had another on the next trip down. he's explosive, but wreckless.

This just in... Texas still sucks at free throws.
Let Vidor say they are not going to play Crosby because of Barrett station and see how fast Quanell X is on the TV. Let's see how the reverse plays out.
it'd be interesting to see, wouldn't it?

Mike Sanchez weighs in on Yates

"Wise said he has done a lot of thinking about 170-35, and if he had it to do all over again, he might do things differently. Considering Yates beat Austin 147-57 on Tuesday, he wouldn't do things that much differently." ha. -

i'd like to say that HJ is going to win, but i still believe that Silsbee is the favorite. that being said, HJ definitely has a team that's good enough to win this game. They're going to need Turner to stay out of foul trouble, and Sutherland to hit some shots. It would also help if Gus keeps draining threes. One possible advantage for HJ worth noting: coming off an easy win against HF, HJ struggled to run their press and offense against the much more athletic WOS team. Will Silsbee suffer the same jetlag that HJ did?

WOS is a very athletic team. They aren't as polished as HJ, but they play hard and had the athletes to beat the press tonight and hold their own on the glass. Turner was saddled with 3 fouls early in the 2nd quarter, Gus got hurt in the middle of the second quarter, and Sutherland didn't hit a shot all night. HJ's bench came in and did a good job maintaining their lead going into the half. Once the second started, WOS got hot from deep. They hit three 3s in four possessions, and then made a couple of easy layups to take the lead. #3 was incredible for them. he hit at least 5 or 6 treys for them, many of which were contested. the longball and solid freethrow shooting kept the mustangs in it, and they easily could've pulled this one out. They played a really good game, and with HJ not at their sharpest, they were lucky to escape with a win.
Very good assessment Bullets!!!!!! HJ IMHO was looking forward to Silsbee on Friday night. Sutherland had 2 points and both of those coming from the line. Turner did not shoot well either. Gus who was hurt in the first half came out and carried HJ in the 2nd half. WOS shot the ball extremely well from downtown and controlled the glass on both ends of the floor. Thus you have a close game.
and thus concludes our report :)

for once we can agree... that's one hell of a performance!
