  1. Never mind, just found the game thread. Good luck tigers!
  2. Rough tourney for the Hawks
  3. Tonight? Too lazy to scroll back and find out if it's been posted
  4. You messed up, man. I refused to shop early in my marriage, and it's just part of the landscape of our relationship now. That being said, this also means she pretty much buys whatever she wants, but she's fairly responsible with money.
  5. bullets has three meanings for me: in soccer growing up I always kicked harder than everyone else on the team, and was told I "shot bullets". I play poker a lot, and bullets are pocket aces, and also I'm a gun enthusiast and hunter. The 13 has been my number in sports since I was 9, all the way through college soccer, and even today in my adult leagues.
  6. Zeke is #1 in rushing yards and #2 in rushing touchdowns (and also has 28 catches for another 322 yards). Dak is #18 in passing yards and #16 in passing TDs. There's no comparison which one is the better player OR which has been more important for the cowboys this year. Yes, Dak has had a good year, but without that offensive line and defenses having to respect the best rushing attack in the league, he's nowhere near as good. He's been a solid game manager, not much more, and when it did look like he was moving beyond that he laid eggs the last two weeks against decent defenses. Zeke is the MVP, Dak is the ROY. There's nothing to debate.
  7. Tampa is playing pretty good football right now. If we play like we have the last two games, we'll be on a two game losing streak, and the calls for Romo are going to get louder.
  8. so was there anything other than the 0-5 start that led him to be placed on administrative leave? I don't think I've ever heard of a school doing that.
  9. he looked overwhelmed last night. had trouble reading the coverages, missing the open man early, and then swallowed up before he was realized it was time to take off and run with it.
  10. The last two games Dak has been pretty awful. Barely 300 yds in the two games combined.
  11. 82% prediction rate doesn't do much for me when combined with a list of 12 or so games that won't be played. I don't doubt if they played all 13 opponents they'd win a few games. But I'd be pretty impressed if they sniffed .500. They're an incredible team, easily the best team in the state 4A and down, and I think capable of a top-10 5A ranking, but these projections are pretty generous.
  12. Tough loss for malakoff 28-24. Yoakum must have come out of a hell of a district. They finished 3rd and are in the state finals
  13. Gotcha
  14. Man. Wos is in a class of their own. Gotta feel bad for navarro's season to end this badly after a great run
  15. That may be true about some of the fans and boosters, but he inherited a solid football team and had one of, if not the worst, tenures of any head coach in UT history. So whether or not he had support, and the reasoning behind the lack of it (I'd argue that the majority of people who didn't support him felt we needed a bigger name coach), he still had 3 years with a very talented football team in a fairly mediocre conference and he couldn't break .500
  16. I just now have had a chance to read some of this thread, and i have to address this twitter nonsense. I get so sick of these thinly veiled accusations of racism that are thrown out at any and every opportunity by some people. UT gave him three years to succeed. he didn't. Does this jackass think they fired Charlie Strong because he's black? "After three years of employment here at UT, we've come to the conclusion that Chuck Strong is black, and we're going to have to let him go." Do you think that his 3 straight losing seasons, after texas had 3 losing seasons out of the previous 25 before he was hired, might have had something to do with it? and were they supposed to hire another black coach just to hire a black coach? were they supposed to wait longer to hire who they knew they wanted because the previous coach was black? The gripe that he was replaced in two hours literally has no bearing. they got arguably the most desired young coach in college football. I get that there are certainly some racist boosters involved at the program, but in 2015 UT boasted a black head football coach, a black head basketball coach, and a Hispanic head baseball coach. How many major colleges can boast that?
  17. I don't entirely understand what you're saying here... are you a yoakum fan or a Malakoff fan.
  18. 187 rushing yards, 50 passing yards against the cuero D. they're in trouble against WOS.
