  1. So....I have been reading these posts and I am going to give my respects to the Deweyville Community as they have made no excuses for losing to Hardin.

That being said....  nobody from Hardin seemed to mention the possible season ending injury to Kennedy Willis.  Young lady is a true athlete who continued to try and help her team even though it was obvious, supposedly, that she was badly injured.

Again, congrats for the win Hardin.  Do not be surprised if next year, Deweyville with Kennedy Willis beats Hardin soundly.

Willis did land awkwardly & appear to roll her ankle after a kill attempt late in game 3 but the officials called an injury timeout that enabled her to get taped up. She never came out of the game & even got a kill or two before the game ended. It didn't look like she missed a beat, if at all.

  2. Show gave up one hit in 5 innings with 12 strikeouts and was 1-2 with a 2 run HR and a sac fly RBI.

Despite the 10-0 score, Hardin played very well with only 1 error in the field.  East Bernard had about 5 bloop hits between SS and LF.  They are pretty fast though, especially the leadoff (Fortenberry).  Guessing at the speed, Show was hitting high 60s (67-68) with about a 52 mph changeup.

  3. RSJ decommitted because apparently his AAU coach was in his ear that he could play basketball too along with football. A&M was willing to let him play basketball but what a lot of people don't know is that Barnes @ Texas was willing to give him a go at the old roundball. Just kept coming back to the AAU coach...

If he had kept his commitment, Mack would have honored it, but it was a bit too dramatic for the Texas coaches.

That said, there have been a lot of injuries to upcoming athletes this year: Collins from Livingston, Kyle Hicks, among others etc.
