To many things to break down. Affirmative action was needed. Is it still needed idk?
Nobody should ever get a job over someone because there black. They also shouldn't get the job because there black. Can the public feel safe without affirmative action. Would minorities still have equal opportunity.

I am no Klein fan either and he has a penchant for playing fast and loose with information (or the lack thereof).  Lets all be honest, the BISD situation is full of high emotion and has created a division of thought into two camps.  Now is not the time for hyperbole, name calling, stoking the fire and racial acromony!!  This will play out over time, and the hope of all of us should be that the facts and the truth will come out.  Those that are guilty of anything will be found guilty and appropriately punished.  Those that are innocent will be found so and exonerated.  No matter what side you are on, most likely you will be dissappointed somehow in the outcome.  What we need ( and I have little faith we will accomplish) is to all come together and do what is right for the public education of our youth so we give them a fighting chance to be as successful as they are motivated to be by giving them a quality education that will allow them to compete globally!!

If I were an "Angry Black" as implied above, I would be offended. I will take the high road because I know a play of words when I see it. This distasteful use of words is why Myself & many others in the Black Community have issues with the total disrespect of us as well as "Our" President. What happened to content of character?? America Is deciding to let people be who they are for the first time. This new generation (my generation) is saying no to discrimination We're saying what a person decides to do with their life is their decision. To say some is against a controlling government. what they need to do especially the ones that stole money......find the money and take it back and if they can't find it then take their house, cars, boats, get away home to equal whatever money they stole.
 
they stole from the school and tax payers and now teachers have to pay for it by losing their job which then effects groceries being bought, bills being paid, mortgage payment, car payment.....list goes on.
 
like I ve said in other post on the political board....bring the hammer down hard and make it real for them.  we are too easy on criminals......that's one reason we have overcrowding 

Not I must be a American that don't ____ & complain. Stop make believe that some how this country is on a fast track to hell every generation swear it's the last days of being a superpower. Name me one simple value you can say was changed by Obama and Obama only. And values are suppose to change with time. We once valued slaves once valued not giving woman rights once valued segregation. AMERICA IS NOT LOSING IT VALUES. IT'S LOSING WHAT YOU VALUE. It a difference.

When I was younger, I worked in a day care for a couple of months. Their was a child who couldn't sit down. When asked why, it was found that his bottom was black and blue with several areas of broken skin. To me, that is child abuse.
 
Another incident, a friend came to me about her boyfriend leaving blood blisters on her child. She wanted to know what she should do. I called CPS and they told me that they would send a caseworker to the home to instruct the offender on how to properly discipline a child. I'm sure the boyfriend was furious.
 
You should never spank a child when your enraged, but most will discipline while "in the moment". I have 2 kids that push ALL my buttons, but I have never once abused them. NO EXCUSE FOR CHILD ABUSE!

Nothing worth getting is usually easy though. Times are getting better! Instead of complaining about the past (that we cannot fix no matter how much we would like to), we need to focus on the future.

What I'm saying is what I honestly believe anybody who try hard enough can succeed in this country. That being said I honestly believe it's a lot harder and more barriers to cross being a minority. Times are getting better but I wouldn't say the playing field is even just yet. I'm just saying America have a way of actin like nothing ever happened.
