Considering who coming back and some of the talented Underclassman, this Newton team is loaded . They look a lot like the 98 team and they should since about 10 of these players parents played on teams around the late 90s. Soph RB/DB #8 Tamauzia Brown is a beast, he had a solid year on Varsity last season. I feel like he really going to have a breakout year and get a lot of scouts attention.

Good hard hitting scrimmage , Newton first team scored 2 times. LCM 0 scores on first team , one score on second team for LCM . Newton coaches moved ball to there on twenty gave LCM 5 tries to score , they could not score in 5 tries

Let's be real here , anyone that's playing knows what the score is . It doesn't have to be posted on the score board . played high school and college and we always knew the score in a scrimmage . Even if it was a inter squad scrimmage we knew how many times they had scored and we had .

Well if you can't win a scrimmage I guess you can dominate one .

I'm sure they are going off the records and competition the last 5 years Newton has played . Newton no doubt has had and will have one of the better football programs in the entire state . They routinely play bigger schools and win and should be recognized in the state for there football excellence the last 3 decades . Newton should be ranked as the top small school in the entire state . I really think this poll was put together to show the dominate teams in the State in all classifications , not for comparing who would beat who if they played because it would never happen . Js Though Newton did knock off the #7 team .

He like 6ft 220 and fast if he stays healthy he could be great at MLB. The soph RB Brown is going to be a beast. I went backed and looked only 4 seniors played during playoffs 2 of them started both ways on Oline/Dline other was MLB and Rb Hanks . So looks like 8 back on O , 8 back on D and of course QB Barbay back and will be ready after attending all the camps he scheduled for . A lot of skill guys back , this is not at all a rebuilding year , that was last year next year will be a rebuilding year . When you only lose 8 seniors and only 4 started you don't call it a rebuilding year .

I thought Newton was going to be great this year considering that Newton had only 4 maybe 5 seniors starting in playoffs .
