Newton vs Yoe highlights [Hidden Content]....

My point is there were several reasons why they lost the game. Instead for blaming the Newtion coaches why don't you just give credit to Yoe for playing a great game. This game was won by the team that made the least mistakes. Which in the playoffs, is usually the way they are decided.  Newton will be back strong again next year. [/quote]. Newton needs more competion,  would like to see it in 2013 but I think schedule is set. So who wants Newton ??  Why can't Newton start playing teams like WOS,Silsbee,Jasper,Coldsprings, cleveland,PNG, Ozen... like the late 90s early 2000s teams.  Does no one want to take a chance at losing to Newton...  Preseason doesn't matter, maybe if teams around this area would play stiff competion in preseason the area teams could bring home more state championships.

Good luck [/quote]. Little to much , weak schedule, out coached in the game.. yoe was well prepared and displine ..made great adjustments plus the kids played very good and made solid tackles.. Newton had no ideal what to do late in the game when they were trailing. .  After going down at half they never really seem to rebound..

Former Newton and McNeese great Ceasar Brooks passed away today at the age of 39 from unknown cause, he was a all American at McNeese and multiple all state in 90-92 @Newton he still holds state power lifting records in powerlift  ..  prayers for the family.
