It will be seen in February how bad the travel will be for Newton in D2 with 8 team districts . Fans will be very disappointed. No one wants to travel 2-4 hours for District when a move up brings more competition and shorter travel in D1 . D1= Southeast Texas District D2=North East Texas District and maybe some Central Texas teams ... this is all going by posted realignment predictions, Newton will miss d1 cutoff by 33

Had to get the conversation going , the community wants D1 because of the Shorter travel times in district and possibly better competition , I’m sure this will not happen though , Newton Coaches never been big on doing what the fans or community wants . The predictions show Newton staying D2 , and with the Uil promising at least 8 team districts . Newton could be doing some 4 or 5 hour Bus rides during District. Now that I can agree would be stupid. D1 = southeast Texas District (Local) D2 District = North east Texas and possibly Central Texas .

WOS, Brock (neutral spot) maybe Woodville possibly could get added to 18 schedule , but You are very right Newton has reached out to many teams PNG,Vidor,Ozen, to name a few . No one wants to play them , especially now everyone figuring out they only graduate 8

Newton will not be tested again for another 10 games , sucks but its reality no one on the schedule is very good and we all know the first two rounds of playoffs are trash teams that don't really deserve to be there .

Both teams looked rough tonight, the Harvey Hurricanes wore both teams out last week .

I doubt the Silsbee or Bridge city game will happen , might even lose East chambers game. Been a rough week and it's not near over .

I heard Newton vs Ozen @Jasper Saturday , heard nothing about Jasper playing Ozen in Beaumont. That was just something the Silsbee guy said, being sarcastic I guess .

Jasper vs Newton would be great if the adults could handle themselves .

I wouldn't say that, Newton is planning on playing Ozen Saturday @Jasper new Stadium. But this will only happen if the weather changes in the next couple of days.

I think so , it would be coolness to see . These two use to faceoff every year when Ozen first opened. I think Newton is up in the Series by 2 or 3 games .

Word is, Newton will play a game vs Ozen Saturday @Jasper Just gotta see what Harvey does.

Weather should start clearing up here by Wednesday night, Newton & Jasper counties haven't got much more than 3 inches of rain, I could see a Saturday Game.
