1. !!:score:20/20/3/55 You've alerted the ScoreboardBot: Score Alert: Barbers Hill(20) @ La Porte(20) Q3 1:
2. Both teams having issues this quarter for sure.
3. LP very sloppy so far in the 3rd. BH too good to let them off the hook.
4. BH runs back opening KO OF 2nd half. Missed xp. Tie game.
5. Berneathy is back where he started his coaching career with LaReau from 2007-2013. He knows LP. It helps.
6. Yep. Is what it is. Fumbled on consecutive plays. Lost the 2nd one.
7. BH looks like they can strike quick if given the chance. So far, LP’s DL is too quick for BH OL, and Fuentes has little time. BH run game is basically going nowhere. A little surprised how well LP is defending the pass. A couple of passes broken up & and INT. LP needs to stop shooting them selves in the foot & continue physical, clean LP play. Am impressed by both teams sportsmanship while playing hard but clean. Let’s keep everybody healthy.
8. Yeppers. Game day! Go Dawgs! JV - BH 27-14 Frosh - LP 40-0 LP frosh still undefeated. Get your kicks in now. Looks like the pipeline is refilling. So far, they’ve only given up 6 points this season, and have scored 48, 40, 50, and 40. (The 6 was to Baytown Lee.)
9. …or, it just means my memory stinks! 🤪
10. Not that I’m aware of, and I graduated from LP, and have been back in LP since my discharge almost 40 years ago.
11. I’ll go with the Home Team for the upset. 😁 I have very little to base this on other than support for the Dawgs. I’ve only seen them play on LPSportsnet against DP and GCM. What I’ve observed is a team that seems to remember they’ve been a solid program for a lot longer than the last couple of down years would show. The new staff seems to have brought back some of that historical toughness and attitude. The talent is there, although young. I can see them coming in with a chip on their shoulder and a focus on the game due to the Lee game. I am impressed with the staff’s willingness to make adjustments in game. There’s some definite speed on this squad. With the youth, we’ll just have to see if they can minimize errors and make a game of it. If they do pull out the win, it won’t be just because it’s a ‘trap’ game. That sounds like a cop out hedge before the game’s even been played. Same token, if it’s a blowout for BH, it won’t be because LP is young. It will be because they were outplayed. From what I’ve seen of the scores & stats in the district so far, I don’t really see a team that’s head & shoulders above the rest enough for a clear cut district favorite to win out. But, I’ve been wrong numerous times before.😊
12. Berneathy was at LP from 2007-2013 if I recall correctly over the OL. Since he’s familiar—and LP is familiar with him—I can only imagine it makes it easier. But, LP is still very young. Many of us knew he would do great things for Dobie, and he did about as good as he could. Very few will get by NS first round every year. (No matter who you are…) He was gonna’ be 9 to 10 wins every year, and then one & out in the PO’s until something changes with the Sho. They’d beat more than a few college teams. LOL
13. Was told by people at the game that LP had 5 fumbles, and numerous other miscues. I asked if it was youth, good D, or a combo of both and was told it was mainly youth. If true, I’d expect inconsistency with the young players. To still be able to force a TO, march down the field and pull out the win away in the last minute speaks volumes about the attitude change from last year. As they say, an ugly win is better than a pretty loss. Go Dawgs! Keep workin’.
14. Don’t get to attend games live any more as better 1/2 can’t get up stairs. Had to let our season tickets go after 25+ years. So, I’m a little detached now. Glad to have LPSportsnet for home games at least. 😃
15. LP 69 GCM 17 Final Improvement from Game 1 to Game 3 is steady. Lot of LP underclassmen. Looks like entirely different attitude from last year. Back to more of what is typical for LP historically. Retired coach from told me frosh squads were loaded. We’ll see how it goes from here. Right now, I’m pleasantly surprised with how quick they’re picking up the new systems.

Coaches have a responsibility to do the right thing; kids work too hard to see favoritism  im sick of it.
Was it really that bad? I'm not getting that type feedback...
when you can only move the chains with two wr's and only one of them scoring. running game got NOWHERE. and you still haven't "fixed" the run defense, yeah it was that bad. also to be fair,it was a scrimmage. i still feel the running game is not there. even in a scrimmage you should have some yards rushing the ball. this has GOT to be a rebuilding year and NOT a reloading year....
Whatever y'all say. I'll say Dawson looked like they're gonna' have a pretty darn good squad for those that follow them as opponents or fans. I will say, it looked like they were putting a lot more emphasis on a scrimmage than LP was...trying to fire up a young squad? Dunno...talent is there though...
18. I could see Clear Brook taking LP. Very nervous about LP D right now...maybe because I'm a D fan.

20. I know La Porte is kinda' out of the area, but somebody better be looking out for Lewis at RB. Young man is looking very strong. I'm expecting a big year.
21.
Put Vic at LB  ;D
Now Buddy, you know there are 2 things LP never runs out of: LB's & RB's.  :) Vic will be PAM's roaming terror.

Right now, based on what I've seen, LP has skill players out the butt. C is the QB's brother. Good chemistry. TE is 6'6", 220. If LP uses him, could be deadly. Kicking game won't be at the same level as LP is used to because LP got spoiled with Vidales. A lot of D1 recruits/prospects on the squad.
When will Scott be back?
Sources tell me BZWD game. FYI...Right now, Lane Albertson is a beast.

A La Porte vs Fort Bend Bush III makes me un easy.  In all honesty, FB Bush had us for 11 of the 12 rounds in last year's Area round.  I hope someone else gets a piece of that up and coming program. And a very exciting match up would be PAM (without the district title ;D ).
Bush scares me for that very reason (last yr versus LP)
LP had no Whitely or Lewis. 3rd & 4th stringers were playing. Bush wasn't disciplined at all. They did have athleticism.
