They were not credited with 1000 at the time they were considering re-alignment...It will be corrected after next season, and they will be 4A again, guaranteed. Along with a few other Houston area 3A teams.

When LU fired Tony Branch after just ONE season, does anyone remember what his record was? I KNOW he won more than three games, did he not? :o

Reason #1: unrealistic expectations of what level of college they should be able to play. Reason #2: They are a good player on a bad team. Reason #3: They are just not good enough. Thats about as simple as it can be put..... ;)

I saw these guys this summer in Vegas...Those kids from Utah were so athletic...I heard that they played on the same team, but it was not always like that...THEY CAME TOGETHER AS SOPHMORES AND TRANSFERRED TO THE SAME HIGH SCHOOL... ::) ::)....Hmmm, I wonder if some of you think that its OK for these kids to make that kind of move... ::) ::)

[/quote] Well I will say this about YOUR statement....How many Beaumont ISD basketball championships are there TOTAL that did not come out of the Pear Orchard (Hebert or Ozen)? ZERO. And Beaumont has HAD the talent to win it all for YEARS. So for you the knock who you called "the great one" is just crazy, being that he has WON a state title there, and went to the State Championship game 3 other times while the school has only been open and playing varsity competition since 1998. So in 10 years (1998-2008), one state title, 10 district titles, 4 regional titles, and you have the audacity to COMPARE what the two Ozen coaches have accomplished? Sounds crazy, huh? I realize that going to state was MADE to look easy, but it is definitely NOT. Losing to Vidor 3 times in one year? Yes it happened...Vidor had a LOADED senior team, and Ozen had a team that featured 12 underclassmen, and ONE senior that played any significant minutes...Ironically, OZEN STILL WON THE DISTRICT TITLE and advanced to the Regional tournament finishing 27-7 in a "down" year, losing to eventual state champion Houston Jones. No knock losing to Vidor, but it never happened again.  So..tell me again why you thought they should have even THOUGHT about firing the head coach back then?....I am with you in that no one should be calling for Savaet's job, especially those of us that know him and have been around him...I am with you on that...But I think knocking the previous regime is certainly not the answer either.

If Silsbee plays Yates 10 times, Silsbee loses all 10...Now AAW you said yourself that you would "rather not" ever play them again, right? Now in my book, that is the DEFINITION of NO CHANCE at winning against them....No they are not the team they were a few years ago, which would have been WORSE, but they are still just better...at this point.  Do not know what the future teams may bring, but for now, there is NO CHANCE. ;)
