I kind of see district 12 shaping up like this: Woodville, New Waverly, Newton, Anderson Shiro, Kountze, Warren and Trinity.

This has been going on for years. I guess we wait until next year when we have better athletes. We need to learn the definition of Credulous. This would help.

Woodville had multiple D1 guys last year and lost to Hitchcock. According to my friends D1 players are only Hype.

woodville has too much speed on defense. They are very skilled with the passing game as well. The Weak Schedule will be the downfall of Columbus.

I guess I will get it started I believe Woodville should win this game 35 to 28. The reason I believe this is Columbus has not really played anyone other than Madisonville. Woodville has seen better competition and is more seasoned. In the end it will come down to coaching. Talent is pretty much even.

If coaching is not as important as Larrys and Joes why pay the high salaries that are being paid All across the state. I agree Larrys and Joes are important but they can’t win State championships without high caliber coaches.

When you are 3 rounds deep or deeper talent is fairly even. Then it is all coaching.

You wonder why Woodville is not a disciplined team. It is a direct reflection of the coaching staff. Unsportsmanlike 15 yard penalty on the coach. It doesn’t matter what happens on the field a coach should never let his emotions get in the way of the team. I know Snake oil when I see it.

Size is great to have but it is not all it takes to go to the next level. Deuce Vaughn of the Dallas Cowboys is proof of that 5ft 5 If truly have speed and athleticism you can play at the next level. To Lions comment Neither Franklin or Newton are as good as they once were they are young and make too many mistakes. I don’t see either winning state this year. Next Year maybe.

Sounds great, I will enjoy watching these guys at the college level. Who are some of the colleges looking at these kids.

If you want a glimpse of the future of Woodville football you have to go back and watch the film of the playoff games against Cameron yoe, Rockdale, Grandview and Hitchcock. Woodville has had some amazing talent with more size and speed than what they have now. Franklin and Newton are good teams but not what they were.

I’m watching the same old reruns from the past 6 years. The Hype is the same every year. All of this to go 2 rounds in the playoffs. The Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and getting the same result. It is someone else’s turn to get excited for nothing.

WOS has to be loaded and ready for a State Championship. I know my friends in Woodville say we are better this year than last. Surely there is Ocean Front property in Woodville. No way we quit with 10 minutes left in the Scrimmage.? That would not have been helpful for anyone.

According to insiders and parents of team members, we will be better than last year even after losing 2 D1 signees. They say we will have arguably the best rb and wr in dist. Our Qb will be used as a FB or receiver . We will be led by a new QB. . My big question is Defense. My opinion is yes it will be a down year .

I keep hearing from everyone in the know saying Woodville will be better this year and the next 3 than last year. I guess my eye for spotting talent is fading. I hear we do have a freshman Quarterback that will make a name for himself this year.

Diboll won the game in 8 innings but lost in the long run. There were a couple recruiters at the game hoping to pick up some talent, but left saying they didn’t need anyone of off Dibolls squad. They watch attitudes of coaches and parents.
