  1. http://m.beaumontenterprise.com/sports/hs/article/West-Brook-s-Redd-wins-appeal-to-UIL-declared-2168979.php

Above is a link showing how bitter and low Cornell Thompson gets when a kid transfers. But yet he has had two high profile transfers and hasn't held himself to the same standard.

Not trying to bash the coach but let's call a spade a spade. The last thread was locked due to no proof, well this thread has proof and sources so I hope it gets to stay unlocked and we all can have a educated discussion.

    Please read the article above.
  2. Thank you for locking the thread about Coach. I can't stand when people come on here and bash or accuse coaches of stuff. These are guys that give MOST of their time and energy to our kids and some people would rather take it all away with a few strokes of the keyboard. I don't personally know Coach Thompson but have watched the program over the years. His kids are disciplined and don't play dirty but they come to play! This is reflective of his style . . . I highly doubt that Coach Thompson would try to personally ruin a kid that gave his heart and soul to him.

Stop the non sense. I have a feeling aggiesweare knows what I posted was true and my thread will be unlocked soon.

If Aggiesweare is a big Aggie fan then he knows me from the Aggies 247 site and knows that when I post info it's legit.

Coach Thompson has a history of doing this. Back in 2011 he did this exact thing to Robert Redd, he brought the thing all the way up to UIL where they told him he was out of order and they didn't see why he would make a kid miss 6 games of his senior year going through all this bs when he had no CLEAR evidence of Robert Redd leaving WOS for athletic reasons. You can look this info up because its 100% fact.

I personally don't care about coaches reading this board I care about young men being treated right and fairly. Did Cornell Thompson Tell Johnny Shaw he couldn't play at WOS because he moved for athletic reasons? No. Did he tell Chris James he couldn't play? No.

Don't hold yourself so high and mighty that you think you own these kids.

  3. Again, for someone so connected in the recruiting world, I would expect better knowledge of the roster you mentioned. Here are SFA's current QBs. The starter is 6'6"
18 Hunter Taylor 6-1 195 QB JR Whitehouse, Texas (Whitehouse) 15 Jake Gnacinski 6-2 220 QB RS FR Keller, Texas (Fossil Ridge) 10 Ben Arbuckle 6-3 185 QB RS FR Canadian, Texas (Canadian) 2 Zach Conque 6-6 234 QB JR Little Rock, Ark. (Catholic)

how tall where all these guys as sophomores? Dang it I bet you have no clue. Didn't say they would sign him either said he was a SFA type recruit that means SFA and schools of that nature. Your trying to hard to know something.
  4. And when can college coaches start DMing on twitter?

    Telephone Calls to Football Recruits
Division I-A and I-AA college coaches are allowed one call to student athletes (Or their relatives/guardians) made from April 15th until May 31st of the prospective athlete’s junior year in high school. Starting on September 1st of the prospective athlete’s senior year in high school, college coaches are allowed to call recruits once per week outside of a contact period. During the contact period, telephone contact is unlimited

I did say I forgot coaches get one call before May 31st.

And coaches usually get the Twitter info to DM a kid after they make that one phone call or if a kid fills out a questionnaire or under the rare case these kids have their real names on their Twitter accound and not some nickname.

The NCAA hasn't put in rules in place for Twitter or Instagram yet.

    I did say I forgot
  6. Oh, and there are plenty of kids who get offers via email. Just not D1 for the most part. D2, D3, yes sir it happens. Those schools don't have the recruiting budget like the D1s have.

We are generally talking about D1 kids rules change for D2 D3 and jucos.

But I'm not seeing where or what a D1 would do as far as offering a kid that a D2 couldn't do that would cost so much more money that D2's don't have?
  7. For someone as plugged in as you say you are, you need to go back and check that first paragraph. That's not even close.

It's very close matter of fact here is the link. Like I said this is what I do. Forgot about the one phone call the coaches get before May31st but other then that I was 100% on target. Try again.

  8. Just goes to show how little about the recruiting process you know. College coaches to not tell a high school coach to tell a kid they're offering an athletic scholarship. It is done directly. Phone calls, home visits, mail, email, and even yes...school visits. It is not true that a high school coach can keep a college coach off campus and not allow them to talk to a kid. Even tho some clown stated that earlier. College coaches do not wait around for 3rd party responses...that's just stupid.

I'll end the conversation because I see it is you who doesn't know what he's talking about. A coach can't call a HS prospect until I think it's September or August of their senior year and its once a week, coaches can't do home visits until October of a kids senior year, coaches can't mail offers until August or September of a kids senior year.

90% of the time a college coach will call the HS coach and tell the HS coach to tell the kid he has a offer.

The other 10% is when a kid does well at a college camp or during junior day visits when kids visit a college campus theirselves.

No coach is emailing offers out, how many kids do you know that check emails on a consistent basis?

It is very true a coach can tell a college coach he can't speak to a kid while on his campus. Matter of fact it's against NCAA rules for a coach to speak to a kid during the spring eval period when most coaches do visit campus.

Go read the rules and get back to me because literally 90% of what you posted was false.
